Lumine and Kody

chapter 2

"Kody there you are I was worried!" Kody pulled away from me as Aiden ran in. Sherry ran in after him.

"Nice to see your okay!" Sherry said to Kody. Aiden looked at Lumine, "Are you feeling better?"

Lumine nodded, "Y-yeah!" Kody looked at Lumine confused raising one eyebrow.

"Hey sherry wanna hear a joke?" Aiden asked her. Sherry grabbed the newspaper from the table and hit Aiden in the head.

"You still have work to do go get it done!"

"Ow! Geez your no fun." Aiden crossed his arms. "Um, dad i'm going to sleep goodnight." Aiden turned to look at his son.

"Okay! But no more sneaking out! To make sure that you don't Lumine will be your bodyguard, again!"

"M-me?" Lumine asked confused, "But you said I just needed to be his friend."

"Well friends look out for each other, right?" Aiden asked. "Well I guess.." Aiden smiled "Just think of it like that!"

I slowly nodded and turned to look at Kody, he looked shocked. He ran a hand through his hair nervously.

"Okay, goodnight dad." Kody walked up stairs.

"Well that went better than expected!" Aiden said, sherry looked at him. Then hit him with the newspaper again.

I walked upstairs about to go to my room went I felt someone grab my wrist and pull me into a room .

"K-kody, what are you doing?" My face was red. Kody then realized what he had done and let go of his wrist.

"Are you fine with doing what my dad said?"

"Of course I would do anything for you!" I smiled at him, His face was getting red. "Kody, do you have a fever?"

"No. It's not that, I....It's just hot in here." he said nervously. "Oh! Don't worry I'll open the window!" I hopped up walking to the window then slipped.

"Ow!" Kody rushed to my side, "Lumine are you okay?" I nodded and looked to see what I slid on, it was a book.

I picked it up about to read the title then Kody grabbed it out of my hands.
