YOUR P.O.V.
Ever since the wedding, you couldn't take Taehyung off of your mind. Remembering even just his face makes your head ache and his name flashes back all the memories you made between you both.Seeing a number eight tells you something when you flip it horizontally. Meeting someone with a mullet gives you the thing about his hair back in 2018.
You rubbed your face with your palms harshly in frustration. You headed to a small restroom by the base camp and opened the tap. You washed your face with the cool water before fixing your beret on your head again.
When you got out, you saw Taehyung on the road, coming down from a specific bus. You roll your eyes in frustration. "Aish. I'm even seeing his face on other people now."
You face back before hearing someone call you. You look back to see Taehyung's face, inching towards you.
"Aish! Is my brain damaged? Even the face talks." You face back again, ignoring the person in front of you.
You felt a hand holding you back. You faced in frustration once again, "Aish! I'm going crazy! I could even feel the image!"
As you were about to turn back, you felt the person enclose you in an embrace. You wondered for a few seconds before actually realizing that this Taehyung was real.
Your eyes widened, and still even after he let you go. Your lips twitch in embarassment. "Y-y-y-you're... real?"
You almost flinched as you released a shriek. Taehyung seemed to have been shocked from your reaction.
You immediately covered your mouth before bowing, "Forgive me sir, I've mistaken you for someone, I-"
"Shut up and give me a hug I deserve all these six years."
You slowly gave him a hug. He hugged you back in happiness. You then spoke as you felt the edges of your lips curve upwards, "Did Jungkook tell you?"
"Hmm. And I'm glad to be able to be entitled to the truth."
You let go. You scanned him and he was...looking normal. He didn't carry any bag on hand and his clothes weren't Gucci.
"Can you leave the military and be back as our body guard?"
You chuckled softly. "I can leave the military any time. I just won't since there isn't really anything to do in the police force yet. Have you forgiven me really?"
He nodded.
He chuckled too. He looked down on his side as he took something from his pocket. You didn't see it as he was quick enough to put it around your neck. Another necklace?
As he ensured the clasp, you took a look at it and you realized what necklace it was. It was the one with the infinity pendant.
His symbol of love to you.
"Isn't Jennie supposed to wear this? I gave this to her."
"She asked me to give it back to you. It's yours anyway," He crossed his arms as a smirk was plastered on his face. "You still love me don't you? No wonder you still kept that all these years."
You smirked back, crossing your arms too. "You just got here yet you feel comfortable already. What a pain in the butt." You turned back and headed towards the trainings.
Taehyung skipped to be able to catch up with you. It was currently five in the morning and the second yearlings should be awake at that time.
Yet, none still got up so you went inside the first chamber which consisted of only men.
You clapped your hands loudly, waking the cadets up. They immediately stood up stiffly in attention. They saluted, "Dan-kyeol!"
You shook your head with your arms crossed and brows knitted together. You looked at your watch. "Hah..you woke up four minutes and twenty-three seconds late. I think, everyone deserves a punishment, don't you think?"
Each cadet'a faces melted after hearing your demand. You felt a hand on your shoulder. "Jagi, there's no need to punish them. Waking up early is really hard, you know."
Your eyes widened in astonishment. "Jagi? Excuse me, I'm not yours. And you're not allowed here."
He puts an arm around your shoulder and the cadets reacted, "Oh~"
You removed his arm gently before flicking his forehead. You looked back and stood straighter this time. "Attention!" The trainees immediately fell in attention.
"You woke up late today, AND, since you teased your commanding officer, I will be adding some more to your punishment. Two hundred laps under the heat of the sun. You know what I mean."
Everyone in the room took their shirts off infront of you. Taehyung used his hand to cover your eyes. "Y/N ah, you're underage for these things. You're not supposed to look at them half naked."
You smirked before leaving him alone in the room.
Taehyung pouted, "Aish...I should start working out."
___
You ran with the shirtless cadets, making your place on one side. They have completed about 173 laps and 27 more to go.
You were surprised to see Taehyung by your side, trying his best to catch up. He was wearing nothing on top and you immediately covered the corner of your right eye.
"Gosh. Do you really have to hold your breath for a flat stomach?" You rolled your eyes as he didn't reply. You took off your camouflage coat and gave it to him without sparing a look.
You waited a bit as the trainees had already gone another lap. You crossed your arms as you averted your gaze.
"You know, you look sexy in that khaki shirt." Your eyes widened at the moment of hearing what he said.
You looked back and saw that he wasn't there. He was chuckling loudly as he walked back, heading to get his shirt.
That jerk.
