I had just finished dropping  off Isabella when Danny called to drive straight to the crime scene with the first job for the day. I arrived and packed my car and  walked out.
" Hi guys." I said
" Nice you see you again ma'am."
" junior please , we are not in the navy anymore , just Lani or Nalani is good."
" hi , am   Tani ." She shakes my hands as we walked to the crime scene.
" Aren't just all dressed up." Steve teased
" oh shut it Steve and let's focus and stop storing at my ass." I replied causing everyone to laugh
" the victim name was Sophie Mays , she worked at the bar over."  Danny said
" who found the body?" Steve asked
" The owner , Mr Austin. HPD is taking his statement right now in which he said that she was spooked about something so  my guess is that that's what got her killed."  Junior said
" Okay ,  junior , Tani why don't you talk to her co-workers and see if they now anything , while Danny, Mr smart mouth and I will go  talk to the family."
" But to be fair you always loved when my hands where on those ass." Steve whispered and I smacked his hands playfully
" well you still owe me that conversation about how you two met." Danny said
" How about we finish this case and I will buy a coffee and tell you." I said
" what  are you two whispering about , let's go." Steve said
" How have you not shot him yet."
" oh I have ." I smirked and entered the car and we drove off

  The case was taking longer than usual. I sat in the office storing at the case filr because nothing made sense, I was lost that I  didn't hear the  door open
" hey Lani , I have been calling you since." Danny said
" Sorry,  still trying to figure out what she had that was worth killing."  I sighed rubbing my hair
" Hey, let's take a break ,besides you owe me a story and a cup of coffee."
" you had me at coffee." I smiled  picking up my jacket.

" What do want to know." I asked
" How about from the beginning and besides we have time."  He smiled
" well, Steve and I were like the Bonnie and Clyde of the army , it was very cute and sweet that we always got teased about it."  I blushed a bit
" Okay, so how did you two meet?"  Danny  asked sloping his coffee.
"  if you keep stopping me this story will not end." I said
"  we were both in basic training together, so I always kicked  his was at weapons, fighting, swimming, in fact I was the best at everything and he was very bossy and cliche because be was the hottest guy on camp and everybody knew  my dad so guys were always afaird to get their asses handed to them by a guySo one day, after official hours  the girls and I went dancing, and I ran into this guy that won't stop  hitting on me so, he came to my rescue and pretended to  be my boyfriend for the night, so  he brought me a drink and we started talking so he collected my number and I , his. So we started off as go friends , sometimes we even went so missions together when our units were mixed. We were the best of the best, so one day he went on a mission and was captured due to some reasons, so I was requested by Joe white  to go get him back with some other group of deltas  which we did. So when we got back from the  mission, he refused to stay put in the hospital  when he heard that I was  been a signed a new mission so I actually shot him in the leg twice because he was been an was about it.
So I went to Italy  for three months on an undercover mission and been Steve he found a way to get assigned to the mission even without  clearance, where again I saved his ass and we  came back he asked me out  to dinner. So we were going out for a  while , we got hitched and my dad was beyond pissed because I didn't intivie  him. Two years later he moved to Hawaii and I moved to LA, the distance wasn't working out so we kind of difted apart , during that time i found out i was pregnant  and then i lost it. I tild him but will time i xouldnt forgive  myself so here we are."
" wow that's some story , so  did you guys  ever talk about it ."  Danny  asked
"  I guess we just thought it was best to be friends."
" But from what I have seen trust me that guy  wants to be more."
"Says the guy with a ex wife ." I teased
"  I mean it , just give it a thought, okay."
" fine , but not a word about this to Steve or I will kill you."
" yes ma'am, let's go a get a criminal and remind me never  to get on you had side." Danny smiled
