Aries sighed as he looked up at the familiar building. A part of him wanted to turn around, go home and go back to bed but he knew that Scorpio would have his head if he tried to leave. Last time he ditched school without him, he and Scorpio ended up in a huge argument and, just like many of their other arguments, it ended up in a fist fight. But even though he and Scorpio argue a lot about stupid things, their still friends.
Aries finally gathered up some strength and headed in the dreaded hell. As he made his way to his locker he passed by a group of three girls that were all giggling.
"Wow Gem, I thought you would be into one of the good guys, not a baddie!" One of Gemini's friends, Aquarius giggled making her frown.
"He's not bad, he's just... different." Gemini said trying to defend her crush.
Taurus snorted, "Sure whatever you say Gem,"
Gemini sighed, today was the day that she had decided that she would finally tell her friends about her crush. She had hoped they would be supportive about it but they seemed to just tease her about it. Gemini was used to it though, after all they had been best friends for ten years now and teasing was just for fun but somewhere deep down inside her, she wished they would just say 'good for you' and then just not talk about it.
'I'll just talk to Virgo about it later' Gemini decided, 'She'll understand.'
Not too far away from the group of ladies was an on looker, side wanderer and the school enigma, Cancer. Cancer really didn't like to socialize much (mostly because lots of things people talked about aren't interesting to him) which is why he and Capricorn made great friends.
"Girls and their crushes," Capricorn scoffed, "Why don't they just keep it to themselves or ask the person out? Women make no sense to me."
"Well, it all depends on the person." Cancer began. "Like take Sagittarius or Scorpio for example, if they were to have a crush on someone they would probably go right up to them and ask them on a date, but if it's Virgo or Pisces it might take them a while to ask that person out, if they even get the courage to ask them out at all that is"
"Huh, kind of like you." Capricorn said making Cancer frown.
"Yeah, like me..."
The two of them continued to walk in silence, only two people walked by them. The two were none other than Virgo and Pisces, who were currently having a rather interesting conversation about birds.
"I just feel bad for all those birds that are kept in cages, you know?" Pieces said, fiddling with the corner of her Science binder. "They deserve to be free, not locked away."
"I still can't believe you took the bird out of the cage and it started to attack your aunt." Virgo said with a small laugh.
"The bird was just getting back at her for putting her in the cage." Pisces shrugged.
Virgo frowned slightly, "You don't like your aunt to much do you?"
Pisces shook her head, "No, not really."
"I just hope you don't get grounded when your parents find out," Virgo said "That would ruin our plans to go to the museum."
"Don't worry, my parents already know and are fine with it. They don't like my aunt much either and besides, I wouldn't miss the chance to see a dinosaur skeleton." Pisces smiled brightly, hugging her binder closer to her chest.
Virgo smiled slightly, "Good, you know I-" then suddenly Virgo was knocked over by a speeding Sagittarius.
"Sorry!" Sagittarius called back as she continued to race down the hall.
You might be wondering why in the world Sagittarius was racing down the hall at such top speeds. She obviously wasn't the type to like school, especially on the first day and you're right to think that, it's just she and Leo have this thing. Sagittarius believes that Leo thinks to highly of himself so to lower his ego a little she and him race everyday to see who can get to class first and almost always, Sagittarius wins.
Sagittarius was at the final stretch when Leo appeared around the corner. Leo picked up his speed but Sagittarius kept the same pace, not wanting to rush herself. Just as Leo was about to enter the science lab, the door slammed shut in front of his face. He glared at the door and tried to turn the handle and push the door open but it wouldn't budge as if something was blocking it.
"Here, let me show you how it's done." Leo turned to see Sagittarius standing next to him with a smirk.
Leo backed out of the way, "You can try, it's not going to budge."
Sagittarius rolled her eyes and knocked on the door three times and it opened revealing Scorpio and Aries standing there with identical mischievous smiles. Sagittarius smiled and stepped into the room, handing each of them a twenty.
"Thank you, kind sirs." Sagittarius said with a mischievous smile.
"Anytime m'lady," Aries did an over exaggerated bow making Sagittarius laugh.
Sagittarius walked to the back of the class before plopping onto the desk closest to the back.
Leo started dumbfounded at the bluenette, his mouth wide and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"She can't do that, can she?" Leo asked to no one in particular.
Leo's best friend Libra came up behind him and put a hand on Leo's shoulder. "She got you again huh?"
Leo didn't respond. Instead, he grumbled and head to the table farthest away from Sagittarius. Libra sighed and took the seat next to him while Scorpio and Aries sat in the same row as Sagittarius.
"I wish that this was a public school and I didn't have to share every class with her," Leo hissed, referring to Sagittarius.
"Oh come on, she's not that bad," Libra argued getting a sceptical look from Leo, "What?"
"What do you mean 'what' you know exactly what it is I'm getting at. Her and I have never gotten along. Never."
"That's because she's out bests you at everything."
"That's not true" Leo argued.
Libra just hummed in response. It was true that Leo didn't like Sagittarius because she was better then him at a lot of things but Libra was sure the two of them would be best friends if she didn't dislike egotistical people so much, maybe even a bit more then just friends. Granted, Libra never personally got to talk to Sagittarius, despite being in a school with only twelve students, but from what he heard she was a jokester who loved to explore and try new things and would always stand for what she believed in and to Libra that sounded like the type of girl Leo was into. But to Leo, out doing him at anything will make him not like you, no matter how small or petty.
Then again, Sagittarius wasn't that justified either. Leo was really insecure and every time she beat him at something, he'd beat himself up for it later and that's not something Libra likes to see happen to his friend, despite how dramatic he can be.
All the other signs shortly arrived. Scorpio watched as everyone piled in but his attention stayed on one girl longer than the rest.
"You still haven't gotten over Taurus huh?" Aries asked his redheaded friend who scoffed.
"No, it's just..." Scorpio sighed.
Last year, on the last day of school Scorpio and Taurus were hanging out in the school hallway, waiting for the last bell of the day to ring, she told him that she wasn't in love with him anymore and it just wasn't working. Then she just left him standing in the middle of the hall. Scorpio and Taurus had been dating for two years when she broke it off. Sure he had other relationships with other girls before but Taurus was different. He really loved her and would do anything for her but this time he was the one left heart broken.
He use his time during the summer to try and get over her and he did, or at least he was better. He could get out of his house now without thinking of her and he could look through his Facebook without scrolling through her account, but seeing her at school, all happy and bubbly broke him all over again.
"Maybe you should go back to dating Sagittarius again." Aries offered.
Scorpio's nose wrinkled in disgust, "There's no way I'm dating Sag again, she's like a sister to me."
Scorpio and Sagittarius had dated for a short while but had broke it off. Unlike all of his other relationships there's had ended on a good note and they had actually became close friends. When Scorpio was going through the break up she was the one that kicked him out of the house and blocked Taurus's accounts and when someone would hurt her, Scorpio would pay them their dues. Sagittarius was like the family he had never had.
"Whatever you say," Aries mumbled his attention now on Pintrest.
The two of them went back to sitting in silence again, Aries scrolled through Pintrest while Scorpio listened in to all the other conversations around the room. He sighed. This was going to be a long school year.
Did you all make it through the entire chapter? Comment if you did (though, I doubt anyone will actually read this)
Sorry if you don't like to read things in third person point of view but for me this is the easiest way to write.
You know, it's really weird to write an authors note knowing that no one might read your book so it's kind of like talk to yourself.
Anyway, love you lucky charms
