Capricorn sat at the front of the class, bored out of his mind. The teacher continued to drone on about atoms and molecules, something that he had already done research on for fun. Capricorn's eyes trailed around the room looking for something, anything to keep him entertained.
As usual, Cancer next to him was doodling on the desk, Pisces was drawing a flower like every other day and Virgo was keeping all her attention on the teacher. Capricorn sighed, No one was doing anything interesting. Sometimes he wished that he would have sat in the back, at least then there would be some sort of entertainment. Capricorn let his eyes continue to trail about the room. He looked back over at Virgo and studied her.
Capricorn didn't know why but he found that Virgo was the hardest to decipher, which for him was baffling. He knew that Leo was insecure, Scorpio was actually more of a lover than a fighter, and that Pisces was only a dreamer because she fears reality but he couldn't figure out one of the easiest of the bunch. Not knowing something baffled Capricorn to no end, he hated not knowing something, especially when it was something easy.
Suddenly, Virgo took her attention off the teacher and turned it on Capricorn. Capricorn's eyes widened and he quickly looked back up at the teacher. Virgo gave him a weird look making Pisces look up at her.
"What you looking at V?" The small purple haired girl asked her friend.
"Cap was just staring at me..." Virgo whispered back.
"Maybe he was looking at your hair, you did cut it shorter." Pisces responds quietly.
Virgo gave Pisces a flat look, "I don't think he'd notice that my hair is two inches shorter, P."
  "Well, it was just a-"
"What are you two girls talking about?" The teacher asked.
Virgo jumped in her seat and looked up at the teacher. Lucky for her she wasn't talking to her, but Taurus and Aquarius who looked up at the teacher with the dear in the head lights look.
"We- Uh, were just-" Aquarius began but Taurus cut her off.
"We were talking about the- um- uh-" Taurus stuttered. Thankfully for them Sagittarius decided to help them out some.
"They were just discussing the atomic weight of plutonium."
The teacher raised her eyebrow skeptically, "Oh really?"
"Yep," Sagittarius replied popping the 'P' while drumming her fingers on the desk, something she did when she wanted someone to stop talking to her.
"Ok then," the teacher mumbled and went back to her lesson.
Sagittarius smiled and leaned back in her seat while the two girls in front of her turned around and thanked her with two thumbs up.
Virgo sometimes wished she had more friends. Sure the one friend she had was more then great, but she had always wonder what it would be like if she had lots of friends. Would they have lots of sleep overs filled with games of truth or dare and kiss, kill, marry? Would they always have each other's backs? Or would they always be in some sort of conflict with one another? Virgo might never know.
Pisces looked up at Virgo, who currently had a blank stare, then turned back to look at Aquarius and Taurus. Pisces knew that Virgo was thinking about what it would be like to have more friends, it was something she commonly thought about. Occasionally Virgo would go to the movies and examine groups of girls and how they acted around each other. Pisces thought it was a bit weird but she knew it wasn't her place to say anything so she kept her mouth shut.
Pisces was planning something though, she planned to talk to Taurus today and ask her if she and Virgo could sit with them at lunch today. Pisces was sure Virgo would be so excited to sit with the other girls, they were all so nice and Virgo would fit right in.
The bell rang announcing the end of class. The signs all quickly rushed out of their first period except for Taurus who wanted to stall as much as possible.
Aquarius popped her head into the room and looked at Taurus, "What's taking you so long? Sagittarius is getting impatient."
Taurus let out a noise that was inhuman, "I don't want to go to math!"
"Come on, math isn't that bad,"
"Says the girl who has a mom for a math teacher."
"Fine, don't go then," Aquarius walked back out of the room. Taurus let out a sigh of relief, that was easy, too easy in fact.
Suddenly the door busted open and three girls ran inside. Sagittarius quickly grabbed Taurus's hand while Gemini and Aquarius grabbed her feet.
Taurus squealed in surprise, "Put me down!"
  "Never!" Sagittarius cackled.
"If we have to go to math then you do too!" Gemini and the others began to carry her out the door and into the hallway.
As they slowly made there way down the hall, Taurus thrashed an kicked. Occasionally she would get out from one of their holds but it wouldn't be long before they grabbed her and dragged her back into her hold. They almost made it when Gemini gave in.
"I'm so tired!" Gemini said letting go of Taurus's foot. Taurus almost got away again when Sagittarius grabbed her.
"We can't carry her by ourselves!" Sagittarius said while fighting to hold Taurus.
"Maybe we should just take a break?" Gemini suggested.
"If we take a break we'll be late!"
  "Well we're already wasting time!"
Sagittarius and Gemini continued to argue while Aquarius smiled at her new idea.
"Leo!" Aquarius called to the familiar boy with orange hair who was currently talking with Libra as they walked to class.
Leo turned his head toward Aquarius and smiled, "Hey Aquarius, what's up?"
"Can you carry Taurus to math? She refuses to go and Gemini, Sagittarius and I have been carrying her all the way here and we need a little help!" Aquarius asked.
"Sure," Leo then walked over to Sagittarius who was holding Taurus and went to grab her arm but Taurus slapped his hand away.
  "No!" She exclaimed.
"Don't worry, I don't bite." Leo said with a laugh.
"That's what I used to say, then I met you and I was all fangs," Sagittarius muttered under her breath.
  "Kinky," Taurus laughed.
Sagittarius shoved Taurus at Leo, "Take her,"
  Leo smiled, "No problem,"
Leo then threw Taurus over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes making her yelp. She pounded on his back yelling curses to him and Sagittarius. Neither of them cared though, instead they laughed.
Leo turned around and faced the others, "You guys coming or what?"
"Coming!" The others responded except Sagittarius who responded 'what' but followed anyway.
When the Zodiacs entered the classroom the others gave Leo and Taurus weird looks. Leo ignored them and sat Taurus down in a chair. The three girls celebrated their victory.
"We did it! We are the champions!" Gemini yelled in victory. They then began to sing 'We Are The Champions'.
Libra chuckled and shook his head, "These girls are something else."
"Yeah they sure are," Leo agreed but he kept staring at Aquarius.
Libra sighed, "Why don't you go talk to her?"
"Now? In front of everyone?" Leo looked at Libra like he was crazy.
"No, not now. Later, like at lunch or after school," Libra suggested.
"I don't know man, what if she rejects me?"
  "Then you get over it."
Leo sighed, slumping down in his seat. Libra shrugged and sat down next to him. Leo had a crush on Aquarius since first grade but his the fact very well. Libra had only figured it out when he went over to Leo's place when he was in ninth grade and found countless crumpled up love letters to Aquarius. Once Libra found out he began to encourage Leo to talk to her and he did. Sure, they still weren't friends yet but at least he wasn't a nervous wreak around her anymore.
Suddenly the door to the class burster open to reveal a small woman who looked around the age of forty years. Sagittarius gasped and shot up from her seat and gave the older lady a hug. It was kind of funny to see Sagittarius tower over the lady. She was so hyper sometimes people wondered if Sagittarius was a child stuck in a teens body.
  "Mamma Willow!" Sagittarius yelled excitedly.
The older lady chuckled, "Nice to see you too sweetie,"
Sagittarius let go of the lady and magically pulled out an apple from the air. "This is for you."
"Thank you so much dear, but I have to start to teach class now."
"Okie dokie," Sagittarius smiled then walked back over to her seat next to Gemini. Just when she was about to sit down the teacher spoke the words that no one wanted to hear.
"Actually don't sit back down, I'm assigning seats."
There was a collective group of groans. Gemini even took it as far as to slam her head on the desk. Capricorn rolled his eyes, people always over reacted in these situations.
The teacher ordered everyone to sit up and then began to point to desks calling out people's names as she did. In the first row was Libra and Gemini next to Aquarius and Pisces, second row was Scorpio and Capricorn next to Taurus and Cancer finally third row was Aries and Leo next to Sagittarius and Virgo.
As soon as seats were assigned there were complaints thrown across the room and everything was wild but the teacher didn't bat an eye. Amongst the chaos, Virgo sat quietly with her hand raised her hand.
"Yes Virgo?" The teacher asked calling on her. Everyone quieted down to hear what she was going to say.
"I can't see the board from back here, may I switch to a seat in the front?" Virgo asked politely.
The teacher smiled softly, "Yes, you may."
"But miss, who is she going to switch with?" Aries asked for the class.
"It depends, who would like to sit in the back with Sagittarius?" The teacher asked the group in front. Aquarius and Gemini instantly shot up their hands.
"Hmm," The teacher looked between the two then suddenly her yes trailed to Libra who sat quietly lost in his thoughts. "Libra."
Libra suddenly perked up at the sound of his name, "Yes ma'am?"
"Would you be kind enough to switch seats with Virgo so she can see the board?"
"Yeah, no problem." Libra then got up out of his seat and began to move towards the back.
To be honest, Libra didn't know where he had agreed to sit. As soon as he sat down he zoned out. He looked around and saw that the only empty seat was next to Sagittarius. Libra smiled, thank the heavens that it wasn't Scorpio or Capricorn, he didn't get along well with either of them. As Libra sat down he could hear Sagittarius whisper a short greeting before turning her attention to the teacher.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Mrs. Willow and if you haven't figured it out by now I'm also Aquarius's mother, don't worry though her being my daughter won't affect her grades." Mrs. Willow explained pacing back and forth. "This isn't like most math classes you've had, I'm math teacher who likes to have a little fun. Through out the year we'll do challenges play games and have loads of fun."
"I have lesson plans outside, lots of math related field trips-"
Capricorn cut the teacher off, "How can a field trip be math related?"
"Well lets see, we could always go to a water park and estimate how many kids are there  while we also enjoy ourselves. Count how many people leave during a horror movie at the theater and find the square root of pie at a baking festival." Mrs. Willow suggested with a smile. The class began in an uproar of how cool it would be to go on all those field trips.
"And that's just scratching the surface but for now we'll keep it simple, today I want you to talk to your table buddy and see how many things each of you have in common."
Pisces was bouncing up and down with excitement.
Aquarius laughed, "You look really excited Pisces."
"If Mrs. Willow really kept her word about all the fun we'd have, then this year is bound to be the best by far."
"Oh believe me, it gets better from here."

Wow that's a lot of words, 2103 to be exact. I really enjoyed writing it though especially the part where they had to carry Taurus to math though I bet she wants to be their now.
On another note, I actually have views! And two votes and I gained a follower! Like how is this possible? How did you find this book? When I first saw the book had views I was ecstatic and confused like crazy but who cares!
I just want to thank those who have read my book (even if you don't see this I thank you) and I also want to give a shout out to Tamia_Mermaid101 for being the first to comment and vote on my book. I'm sorry if I'm freaking you out but I'm socially awkward and never know what to say.
Love you lucky charms
