~A R I A N A ~

'Arrriiiiaaaannnnaaaa !'

Kylie, my very pretty and extremely annoying elder sister screams from the ground floor.

'Wake up, lazy bum, you have to leave in like 30 minutes, AND you haven't even packed your luggage yet !' She adds.

Such a mom.

My head throbs and mouth feels like some animal died there.
Vodka does wonders, no ?

I walk to my bathroom, and splash my face with water,
this is really happening.
My heart picks up pace, it is scary but I have to do this.

The last few months were like a whirlwind. My high school ending, my friends going to different parts of the world, me getting selected in my dream college and obviously moving out.

Today.

Last year was a dream with both ups and downs, with laughter and tears but I wouldn't change it for the world. But now, I had to move out of the only place I knew, I was going to miss this place I called home since the day I could form coherent thoughts. This was the place where I spent my most happy life in and though I was not ready for every problem coming at me with claws, I knew this place would still always welcome me with open arms.
This was and will be the place a piece of my heart belonged to.

My stormy grey eyes open fully now and I could see myself in the mirror. My brown hair were short and wavy, red balayage done recently, it looked beautiful.
My body was pretty average, tanned but smooth skin and average measurements. Nothing special or unique that would catch your attention.

Just my stormy grey eyes.

I shower in under 5 minutes and wrap a towel around me as I exit my massive bathroom and walk into the walk-in closet.
Since I was going to a new place and meeting a whole lot of people, I was going to wear something nice.

I decide to wear a very deep v neck black top with buttons on the collar that had long sleeves. With it I decide to pair my high waisted mom jeans and my red block heels. My hair is left open and I let the wave decide their natural vibe. I felt good and most importantly I smelled good.

I wear my Rado watch in one hand and take my luggage (which I had just packed, so as to not give Ky a reason to shout at me) in the other and walk down the grand marble staircase and into the foyer where I dump all my luggage and hand bag, in front of the French doors.

I hear voices from the kitchen and I proceed there. My mom and dad are making pancakes and waffles while my elder brother Asher and Kylie are having a hot debate which I knew would eventually turn into a fight.

So you see, Asher and Kylie are identical twins. They make up as easily as they start a fight, because as twins, they really can't function like us singletons do. Weirdly wired category of people, I tell you.

So, I yawn and sit down at the kitchen table, waiting for a pancake when dad starts to tell me about what a huge step it is for me and how proud he is of his favourite daughter. I know parents aren't supposed to have favourites but since mom has two; that are her first borns, my dad is allowed to have at least one.

Just kidding, we are all equally loved by both but I'm still in the lead as far as my dad's scoreboard goes.

If he says how much of a big step this is for me one more time, I swear I'll combust, as if the panicky pressure inside me is not bubbly enough.
I eat my pancakes while sending a smile in everybody's direction.
Ky and Ash have stopped fighting, mom is kissing dad on the cheek while saying 'I love you' and my heart of a stone, melts a little.
