Song of the day/night : Only you by Selena Gomez

~ A R I A N A ~

It's been almost 2 days and I'm finally entering California. I don't even know why I decided that driving from New York to California would be an easy task.

I'm tired as hell and I just want to crawl in my bed and sleep like a baby but I can't because I need to go find my home for the next four years.

So long story short, the dorms were full as I hadn't applied for early summer classes, therefore I had to arrange for an apartment but I didn't want to live alone also, so, a close friend of ours, Mr. Vector, very graciously offered me his own penthouse apartment that he was no longer using but the only condition was that as some other person had also sought out that apartment, we had to live together. Which was fine by me as I had always wanted to have a roommate.

I could have only brought with me so much of luggage so Kylie had decided to come and help me with all the other stuff. The apartment was already furnished except for the bedrooms which Mrs. Vector had said she would look after.

I had reached a week before college officially started so that I could get into the routine and not stumble around like a dumb girl.

So, as I navigated, I called my parents to notify them that I had reached and to tell Kylie to come soon. She had promised to reach by tomorrow, so that put me out of my misery a bit.

My GPS notified me that I had reached Maplewoods Avenue. I parked my car in the parking lot and made my way upstairs with all the luggage. The apartment was supposed to be on the 44th floor and I knew what bitch of a task it would be but I sucked it up and started making my way towards the elevator.

After 5 minutes, the elevator dinged, signifying the arrival of my floor. As I entered the lobby, I took in the view. It was a stunning place.
Beautiful golden brown marble resonated all through the lobby, with great lighting. It was place that was screaming posh all over. The pillars of marble glistened under the lighting and organic wood structures gave it a warm look.
I was immensely pleased with the interior and couldn't wait to find out how the apartment looked.

I knocked on the door of apartment no. 1014, and a smiling Mrs. Vector opened the door.
She was an old lady with a sweet smile. Her salt and pepper hair, we're perfectly tucked in a bun and her thousand watt smile melted me like warm butter. She gestured me to enter and I pulled all my luggage in with me.

"Ariana, dear, you have grown up to be a beautiful girl" Mrs. Vector said.

"Thank you, Mrs. Vector" I replied, suddenly blushing all over. I for one was not very good at receiving compliments.

"Please call me Darlene, dear."

"Well thank you Darlene" I smiled.
"Please call me Ari." I added.
Being called Ariana, made me feel like this old goat. I preferred Ari.

"Okay then, Ari" She tested my name.
"Your room is still not ready, thanks to John, who notified me about you just a few days before. Idiot." She said laughing.

"That's okay, Darlene, I can wait in the living room." I said as I sat on the couch.

Sleep was coming in on fast and I couldn't resist stretching my legs on this very comfortable couch. This was heaven. Absolute bliss I thought as I laid down on the couch and the last thing I heard was Darlene saying

"Do you not want to know about your roommate dear ?" As I was surrounded by beautiful darkness.
