Underestimated

Chapter 1

"Once upon a time there lived a girl..."
I was disturbed by Mr.Waters clearing his throat.
"Earth to Addison!"
The class snickered and I felt a blush creep up on my cheeks as I walked to the board to solve the equation. As I walked back I heard the jocks talking about me,
"Of course nerd can be totally zoned out and still get the problem right" jock 1 said.
Jock 2 responded with "Yeah maybe she can tutor you!"
Jock 2 burst out laughing. Hearing there conversation made my cheeks burst into flames as I speedily walked back to my seat I couldn't wait to get out of this class. When the bell rang I got up to head to chemistry but was stopped by the same two jocks.

"Hey my friend here needs a tutor and you look like you could help him" The second jock said with a smirk. I knew this had deeper meaning to it but I had no intention of finding out what it was. I look around and swiftly kick them both where the sun don't shine and ran off to next period

I walked into chemistry expecting to find Becky at our table but instead I saw Tyler freaking Elliot sitting there instead. I stoped abruptly in the door trying to process why is was sitting there but got shoved which pushed me back into reality. As I walked closer I saw him on his phone as I approached he shut it off before I had a chance to see what was on the screen. He began to speak to me but all I could focus on was that he was talking to me! As I tuned back in to reality I only caught the last little bit of what he was saying,
"...so did you know?"
I had no idea what he was talking about so I just assumed it was about homework and if I understood it. I replied with a of course to which he simply nodded and turned to the front. I wanted to say more but class began to start and I pulled out my notebook and pens but I couldn't focus at all because Tyler freaking Elliot is sitting beside me! Wait till Ella hears about this!

As I walked out of chemistry a rushing Ella came barriling down the hallway. When she finally reached me she was panting and sweating. I began walking to my locker slowing her to have time to calm down. We reached my locker and she was finally able to speak again.
"Have you heard!?!?"
"Heard what Ella?"
"That Tyler and Aubry broke up!"
My mouth fell open!Aubry never gets dumped she is a pretty, annoying, mean girl that guys fall all over. I quickly closed it as I realized I had left it open and stated,
"And why should I care about this?"
"Um because it means he is available!" Ella stated in a duh tone.
"Ella we don't have a shot with him" I responded in an annoyed tone. Ella made a pout but knew better than to argue with me. I decided not to tell her about the chemistry thing and just move on like it never happened.
