Unmask (An Adam Young Fanfic)

Chapter Four

Authors Note: There will be some time jumps in this chapter so it wont be too boring. Also, this will be a short chapter. Enjoy!

Adam laid in bed next to Josh. 

"Why didn't we do this before everything went to shit?" Josh asked. 

Adam turned on his side and looked at his partner. 

"If we did this a few months ago, making up wouldn't have been this fun." Adam said with a slight smile. 

"Yeah." Josh replied. "I still feel like there's something you're not telling me. You'll have to unmask your secret at some point." 

Adam's smile faltered. "I-I'll tell you when I'm able to. Okay?"

Josh nodded and moved closer to Adam. He kissed his forehead. 

"Just tell me you're not cheating on me," Josh said. 

Adam locked eyes with Josh. "I'm not cheating on you."  

"Good." 

Adam sighed and hugged Josh. "I'm going to go make us some hot chocolate."

"You'll add marshmallows?" 

"Of course," Adam said as he got out of bed.  

Adam grabbed his clothes and got dressed. He then went out of the room and headed towards the kitchen. He hoped and prayed that Josh would conceive. He sighed and started making the hot chocolate. 

The hot coco was finished a few minuets later and Adam placed mini marshmallows on top. Josh walked out clad in jeans and no shirt. 

"Thanks," he said. 

"You're welcome." 

Adam grabbed the mug and walked to the living room. The two of them sat on the couch and Josh turned on the TV. A news channel reported another innocent person dead and a million dollars stolen. Adam knew it was Matt from the photo shown with him in his mask. He turned the channel and they watched a Christmas movie. Josh rested his head on Adam's shoulder. 

     A few weeks later it was Christmas. Adam had just finished making dinner when Josh came through the front door. Josh went to the doctors since he wasn't feeling well. He had a smile on his face. 

"You're gonna be a dad," Josh said. 

Adam smiled and hugged his partner. He kissed Josh. The past few weeks they became closer. Adam and Josh had stopped drinking. He was happy. But in the back of his mind, he knew he would have to resume the role of leader of the gang when his child was born. Jasper could handle being without him for nine months. He would eventually tell Josh and Mike the truth. Adam had a plan if things went south. He hoped he wouldn't have to use that plan. 

"Mike will be so happy," Adam said as he let go of Josh. 

Josh nodded and rested his head on Adam's shoulder. Adam put his hand in his pocket and felt for the small velvet box. This wasn't the ideal place to ask the question but the storm outside made it difficult to go outside. Adam gently pushed Josh off him. 

"I know this the least romantic place to ask this," Adam said. He took a deep breath, brought out the box and bent down on one knee. "Josh Smith will you marry me?" 

Josh nodded and hugged him. 

"Yes," he whispered.
