Part 4

Someone's POV

So many crowded in one place how could I not go for it, it was so ripe for the taking. Each bomb was set in place and my boys were ready, 3...2...1 boom!

Jason's POV

The whole word went silent a mass bomb exploded, I covered Evie and dove as far away as I could to get us away from the blast.
"E are you ok?"
"What's happening daddy?"
"I'll get you out of here." Dozens of criminals marched in with guns as I rushed Evie out of there. Breaking through the fire exit. I heard grunts and muffled screams as the rest of the heroes dealt with the unprepared goons. I turned my head to the remains of the party, hopefully Bats and the rest got out, without their suits bullets will go right through them. In my haste I walked right into a bullet puncturing my right side, I held my wound pushing Evie to the side as I took out my knife and prepared to fight. I dashed forward dodging the gunfire and impaling one in the chest, I threw his body into the second one bolting forward catching the guy who shot me's hand driving my kris into his side, pulling it out and spin kicking him to the ground, finally I threw my knife into the chest of another. Running forward pulling my blade out and getting ready to slit the next throat.
"Hold it boy, wouldn't want girl here to get hurt." I froze, whoever this guy was he now had my daughter at gunpoint.
"Let her go now or I won't kill you, I'll break you."
"Don't think you are in a position to negotiate." He raised his gun to me and I seized the opportunity, jabbing the last guy behind me in the gut putting him in a headlock, taking his gun and putting a bullet through the guys forehead then breaking this guys neck.
"E are you ok." She was in shock.
"Sshh it's okay daddy's here we are gonna get you home it'll be f-" Pain creased through my shoulder and torso as a sniper round tore through my expensive suit and pinning me to the ground. My vision dimmed as a masked man came up behind my babygirl as she was trying to wake me up.
"Don't worry child he has had worse if the stories are to be believed, and I'm not allowed to kill him, now your coming with me." He picked up Evie as she tried to fight giving her a dose of what I assume to be an anaesthetic considering it knocked her out. Before he walked away I summoned an All blade to my right hand tapping his leg.
"I'm coming for you.."
"Sigma."
"You'll die Sigma mark my words."
"I'll hold you too it." He booted my head and my whole world went black.

"He's waking up."
"Don't crowd him." My vision returned and I saw the Batfamily, Roy, Kori, Bizzaro, Diana, Kara, Ollie and Dinah and some of the other League members.
"Red-him you awake!" Bizzaro gave me a big bear hug almost choking me.
"How long?" He finally let go.
"Only a few hours you heal quickly."
"I know." My shoulder was still in slight pain but I numbed it. 
"I'm so sorry Jason we couldn't save Evie."
"We'll look all over for her Jason I swear it."
"Thanks Diana, Kara but it's okay I've got a promise to keep, I'm going after them."
"Kid sure is persistent took a bullet through the torso still wants to go after these guys."
"I've had worse Queen and I'm not going alone." I tried to stand up out of the bed only for Dick and Kori to keep me down.
"Bro it's not healthy you should rest for now."
"Dick's right Jason." They are really trying to keep me out of this?
"This is my goddam daughter here!"
"And we want to make sure her dad stays alive." I gave up lying back down and shutting my eyes to rest.

Kara's POV

Jason's dedicated to his girl for sure, me, Kori, Dick and Roy went to the living room.
"So we're gonna help Jason find his girl right I'm not letting my man down."
"Of course Roy but where do we start we know nothing about these guys or what they can do."
"They clearly want Evie for something so it's probably related to either Jason or the mother." I slightly winced.
"We'll ask Jason when the grown ups are done interrogating him."
"And if he doesn't know I doubt he's gonna tell us who the mother is."
"We'll figure it out." We waited a few hours till almost everyone was gone the exceptions being Diana, Bizzaro who was looking after Jason and Artemis who had arrived and was also with Jason, this agitated me a little bit.
"Jason."
"Yeah?" Bizzaro was pretending to be a doctor and Artemis was on the way side sharpening her sword.
"Who was it that attacked you?"
"Guy named Sigma, wore a red mask and had a lot of weapons that's all I can remember."
"So you don't know why they're doing this?" He sat in thought, an idea popped into his head but he seemed to of quickly discarded it. What's he hiding?
"No."
"Do you think it has something to do with your baby mama." Kori hit Roy for that and I rolled my eyes. He did have an idea why this was happening and it was because of the mother, why won't he tell us.
"Maybe, I don't know my brain is still fuzzy." That was all we got, maybe has something to do with the mother we don't know. I saw Artemis reach for his forehead and lay it back down on the pillow she then got up and left the room.
"We'll leave you to rest then." We went to leave, Artemis walked by and dabbed Jason's head with a wet towel and Bizzaro like a doofus using his freeze vision on Jason's head to cool it down.
"OW!"
"S-soory Red-him."
"Bizarro just sit down while I help Jason."
"O-okay Red-her." Once again I was agitated.
