I go in my room.It's quiet... That's a good thing.I had my pills.. My lovely pills.they never let me down. At least I think so... I look over. She was next to me. Sleeping peacefully. She's cute when she's knocked out cold. She buys me the pills. We don't need to get into detail on why she needs to. Then all of a sudden she wakes up she turns on the light and sighs. "Oh it's you..." She says yawning. "H-heh.. Hey.." She looks over and sees the pills in my hand. Fuck. She looks at me with tired, angry, eyes... "David how much of those things did you take today?" I didn't answer. "David?!" I jumped a bit. "Gwen, I... Took.. 8 today.. Okay?" "8?!" Her voice got louder. "AND YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE MORE?! ARE YOU INSANE?!" I look at her and tears started forming in her beautiful lilac eyes what the fuck did I just do? "That's it David I'm cutting the prescription off." She rubs the sides of her head and sighs. I looked at her. "Gwen no.. Please don't do that." I pleaded to her. She always threatens this but she's serious this time."I can handle you being a goddamn criminal but you abusing your meds by overdosing on the prescripted amount that you're supposed to take daily is fucking insane. Do you realize what kind of havoc that you're putting us in?! David you're WANTED ALL OVER THE US DAMN IT!! AND I STILL HAVE TO GET YOU THE THINGS YOU NEED WHILE YOU GO AROUND CONING AND KILLING PEOPLE EVERY DAY. I'M WONDERING EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY IF YOU'RE GOING TO COME HOME ALIVE DAVID!!" she snatches the pills out my hand and throws them out the window. "GWEN WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled in anger. "WHAT THE HELL Are you going to do David?!" She yells at me even more upset. Tears were streaming down her face.. No this isn't what I wanted. "We have a 5 month old son David.. I don't want him to be subjected to all this FUCKED UP SHIT WHEN HE GETS OLDER!!" "GWEN HE ISN'T EVEN MY son he's YOUR son that you've adopted LEGALLY. I'M JUST THE FATHER FIGURE." Gwen grabs my shirt. What is she doing? She smacks me hard. But not that hard to leave a red mark. I rub my cheek. "what was that for??" "Because you said that Max wasn't your kid. Max is your kid. You are his father. Legal or not." I nod. Then we heard the cries of the poor thing. Gwen bolts out the room and comforts him. I follow her just to make sure everything's okay. "Hey.. Shh mommy's got you.." His cries die down and I come over to him. He looks at me and giggles. "Ah...." Gwen hands him to me and I look at him with tears in my eyes. "H-hey buddy..you're okay..Papa's got you.." Gwen smiles weakly. "I told you, ya idiot." I smile too and Max falls back asleep in my arms. I put him back in his crib and Gwen takes me out the room shutting the door. "David I need you to stop with the overdosing.. Please.. For Max, for us... And I can't tell you to stop with your job because we need the money.. And me being a store clerk basically equals minimum wage every week... But please.. Don't do it.. I don't want to loose you." I embrace her in a hug. "Promise-" i felt a sharp pain as I collapsed on the ground. "David?!" Gwen yells as she tries to stop the bleeding. The world itself was getting duller around me. "I-I have to call the hospital!" Gwen yells. "Gwen.. N-no I'm fine.." I insisted. I knew I was Going to die if I didn't do something. She can't take me to the hospital or else I'll either die there or heal and get arrested. I hate that I can't do anything about it. "David! We have to get you there now!! You're going to die!!" I get up and groan in pain. "damn it Campbell.." I limp over and grab some tweezers from the drawer and I pull the bullet out. I didn't scream in pain. Heh I'm kinda used to getting shot. Gwen comes out with Max holding him. I grabbed the materials to make me stop bleeding and then I put cotton on the wound and bandaged it up. "That was s-something hehe." Gwen says still holding Max. "It was..."
