['thought']"He don't seem to be so bad," said Lisa, as she and Kara went to their last class of the day, math.
"You say that about everyone after you meet them," countered kara, "Remember those two friends of Max's and what happened there."
"In my defence those two were from Max's past life thank you very much." Lisa retorted, "But so far the new guy don't seem to be the trash that we thought he would.
"Alright class, due to the new student being here and me without knowing what he's know, I prepared a starter exam if you will," Many groans and cusses could be heard, "don't give me that," stated Callaghan, as he passed the booklets out, "it is not worth much, but it is all material that you should have learned last year, when you have finished, you can go leave."
The exam started and everyone went to work, kara was smart, but methodical, so she usually was slower than others, but her marks were still top notch. She finished with time still on the clock and headed outside. Lisa would still be doing her exam so she had to stick around, even though Lisa would want to hang around with Max for at least an hour. she exited the building she was surprised to see the biker hanging around.
"Hey kara," Oh great. kara mentally groaned to herself as she turned to see kodie walking out of the building, nice kid who was 2 years younger than Kara, but annoying as hell.
"Hey kodie, what are you doing out here?" Out of the corner of her eye she could see Max's driving his BWM that his dad got him into the in front of the school where the biker was.
"Oh gym was over early, they didn't have much planned today and I'm just waiting for sonny" kara barely heard as she noticed Max's start squabbling with the biker about who should be parking where and other nonsense.
"Uh-huh." Kara muttered as she moved closer to get a better look at what was going on. The bell rang and other students started pouring out of the building including friends of Max. The squabble had escalated into what seemed to be a shoving match, Max's buddies started moving in.
"Oh great, just what we need to make everyone miserable, a fight," kara muttered to herself. The other students were forming a massive ring around the two groups as the busses hadn't shown up yet.
"Come on try it, you shit," howled Max, "You want to do this, let's do this." Easy for him to say with a hefty amount of football players behind him. Yet Anthony, didn't break a sweat.
"WHOA! Whoa! Everyone, just calm down!" Lisa stepped between the two groups, "This is the first day of school, does it need to end like this?"
"If he is going to be an asshole and give me crap every time I park somewhere then yeah" Anthony responded Coldly.
"Call a spade a spade, you is what makes this city the dumping ground it is." Snapped Max. Lisa looked frazzled for a moment, she really didn't want a fight to start, then Kara saw the gears move into place and a sly grin appear.
"Why don't you fine gentlemen let the toys do the talking," gesturing to the bike and car, everyone started oohing and ahhing. Genius.
"Stakes?" He asked simply; loud enough for the general audience to hear. Lisa turned to Max with a look that said the ball is in your court now.
