You enter the world (A verse of the birth of my son)

These words I wanted to pen
That fragment of time I first saw you.
Longing to crystallise that rush of love
To hold forever.
But fifty hours of swelling labour
Left no strength of mind to find words
And all I wanted was to hold you to my breast
Gazing at those wild eyes,
So alive.
Precious stranger of mine, once myself
But we ceased to be one and with our
Separation,
We were complete.
