I couldn't get him out of my head. Nothing would ever go back to the way it used to be, and that stupid tree. God how I hated that stupid, annoying tree. It was finally time that we all go back to school, it was the end of junior year and we had a few exams to prepare for. About 45 minutes after lunch, and 10 minutes into my last class of the day the announcement that finally woke me from my daze crackled over the PA. "Would Rosealine Addams please report to the main office, Rosealine Addams to the front desk." Our guidance counselor nonchalantly slurred. I whipped out my phone so quickly it almost flew across the class. Tobias turned to raise an eyebrow in confusion. I merely shrugged as my fingers danced along the screen.
Hey hunny bunny, everything okay? I'll walk out and meet you by the gym.
Placing the open screen face up on my desk I poured the only ounces of attention I had the energy to provide waiting for her reply.

My small feet struggled to carry themselves down the hall as I made my way to the office. As I neared the office doors the framing in the glass casing caught my attention. Clenching my first, I felt the tears burn in my eyes while my heartstring pieces tied into knots. I raised my hand in an attempt to shatter the glass case in front of me, the picture of Tristen triggered all the memories of our time together. "Rosealine?" Mrs. Grinds cleared her throat. My head snapped back to reality as I followed her through the main corridor doors. "This is Niko, our new student. You'll be showing him around for the next few days until he settles in. Is that okay with you? If there is anything at all you need please, we'd be more than welcome to help you due to recent events." She introduced me. I really hope this kid doesn't ask questions.
Shaking my head I showed him to the door,"Schedule?" I reached out my hand. He slide me a folded paper from his leather jacket. "Great. We have all the same classes together so all you have to do is stalk me." I said and handed him his paper back. He remained silent as I took in his unique appearance. I mean he didn't look like he belonged here, everyone was so fake with all the colorful hair, barely-there clothes, Kylie Jenner makeup, and stench of pot. This kid wore slicked back hair a dark gray shirt and faded black straight jeans with heavy boots. His skin was sunkissed tanned with dark warm eyes, kind of like Allison's. "Uhhh.." he began to shift clearly uncomfortable with me staring. "Right. Physics." I swiftly turned on my heel hoping he could keep up.

When the bell rang I was the first to dash out of the door. I saw Rosealine's curly Locke's appear from the science building crowd. Followed by a broad shouldered brunette. He looked...cold, I mean like who wears a leather jacket in Florida. She looked down at her phone and I saw the fear and shock spread across her hazel eyes. Leaning against my Jeep I waited patiently. Hunter, Liana and Harley all met me ranting about how shitty the school has become. "Tobias said bye." Liana blurted. I nodded shooting her a smile. "Where's Parker I haven't seen him all day?" Harley asked. I looked around to see if he was rolling around on his board, or with his bright smurf-haired girlfriend. "He went in for questioning last night because he was too busy with Skye to notice the PD's calls." Hunter snickered. "Ew." Reilly roll on her bright yellow Kawasaki. One by one we all leaned over kissing her helmet. It was our way of wishing her safety knowing how much of a daredevil she was. "Be safe love." I waved goodbye, Rosealine finally made it over with the new kid trolling behind her. "Hunter, Liana, and Harley. That was Reilly, and this one here-" she snuck an arm around my waist. "Is Allison." She introduced us. We all waved, "I'm Niko." He said with a thick accent. "Okay bud go along, you trailed her for one day no need to follow her home." I showed him off.
