I haven't heard from Allison in a while, I assumed it was due to her family. Each time I go to visit her I find a member of her small broken family by her side, so I leave. Against my every urge to run in and cuddle the life out of her, I just turn around and walk away. My boss continued to yell in my face about work related things but I was too caught up in my persistent worry. The rest of my task force, unlike me, paid very close attention to the evidence being added to our board. "Hey newbie. If you wanna put your girls nerves to rest then get your head out your ass and help solve this case." Sheriff barked at me. I sat upright in my seat twirling my pen between my fingers as I concentrated on the mystery in front of me.

"So what we have here is..." our director started off.

"What's that?" I rudely interrupted pointing to a small vial in a red printed bag. "Probably just some drugs the kids were taking, there were 5 other vials containing different chemicals. Forensics are running tests to find if any of them were found on our victim before and after the time of death.

"Hold on I need to make a phone call." I exited the meeting as my peers watched me in shock and confusion. "Rose?" I heard the line click open.

"Yeah, what's up?" She hummed.

"Do you know if Tristen was in any chemistry-related surroundings, or did he have any chemicals laying around?" I asked.

"I mean he has a propane tank in his garage, but no not apart from the booze and stuff at the party. And he was in physics with me." She hesitantly thought.

"Okay thanks." I hung up walking over to the break room. "Detective." A familiar sweet voice called. I spun around on my heels slowly, "Well if you aren't a sight for sore eyes." I gasped as Allison stood there down the hall with coffee in hand. "All better." She gave a slight smile I walked over to hug her as she grunted in pain. "Oh sorry, I forgot." I pulled back. "Rookie their waiting for you in the office." The M.E. called me over. I pouted at Allison poking her cheek before joining my coworkers.

"So you didn't see me coming at all." I stared at the boy in front of me, almost fully recovered I kind of didn't regret hitting him. Over the past few weeks I made a new friend and he was so handsome. And yes, I know it's ironic for me the anti-relationship queen, to like someone but I mean...how could I not. He was chiseled, from head to toe he was made from liquid bronze with perfectly sculpted abs and the sweetest smile. And luckily his parents didn't hate me. He was at fault for not checking before crossing the road, so if you think about it. He ran into me. "And you're not pressing charges?" I glanced at him questioningly. He laughed quietly and shook his head. I've done it this time, I really and truly did it. How am I supposed to tell them? Oh my, Reilly actually has feelings.

"Are you ready?" Harley called out to me behind the dressing room curtains.

"Always." I turned around as she slipped out in shimmering black evening dress. "Not that I'm complaining but why do we do this?" I gawked at her amazing figure. "Because I'm a girl. And this is what gives your girlfriend inspiration as an artist." She turned trailing the hem of the dress with her fingertips. "Babe. You draw nature, and aesthetics. Not fashion queens." I reached my hand out for her. She willingly took it allowing me to spin her around. "Shut up and kiss me." She tip toed to meet my lips. I don't think I'll ever get over that feeling.

"Are we done?" I asked as she went back to change. "Yes we are." She smiled peering around the corner. We reached my car and I opened the door for her speeding off to Parker's house. "Did you get them?" I peered over her legs. She kicked up her soft dainty legs on the dash revealing glimmering black pumps. "Hot." I smirked speeding down the avenue.

"If it isn't the cutest couple on the block." Parker shouted out as we left the car. "Or should I say Shoplifters..." he chuckled. "Shut up, they're nice." She showed them off. "Speaking Of Lovebirds. Any of you heard from Alli?" Parker wrapped his arm around his girlfriends waist. Skye, the blue headed five-foot-8-inch tall girl leaned her head on his shoulder. "Nope. Her family is back from vacation." Harley mentioned.

"Oh that's why. Did she say anything about her new boytoy, Quinn?" Parker have Quinn a suspenseful look. She shook her head uncomfortably. "He's more than that. I see he way he looks at her." I defended him.

"Oh shut it Romeo." Parker rolled his eyes. "I'm gonna go get stoned, anybody wanna join?"

"Nah I gotta drive her home." I resisted. But the two girls happily obliged. This was going to be a long night.

It's been a month and a half. That's a long time, especially for a case like this. But no news. Lucas had no leads his team was clueless and Tristen's family was getting restless. There were posters for crime stopper hotlines on every wall. All my friends have been distant, we were all broken in some way. Tristen was a good glue, and now all we have left to connect us was a shared grief and heartbreak. Rose went on a vacation with her family, Lucas spends his free time catching up with my dad and worrying about my family. Rain found love, Liana has family drama and school to focus on, and Parker is just...well, Parker. Tobias and Harley both spend their free time at the school getting ready for senior year and devoting their emotions and time into prom, graduation and grad bash funding and planning. Hunter and I on the other hand have been with Niko. After the run in with the cops and his gang we came to find out that he and Tristen go way back. I'm talking the summer before high school.

The two of those boys met at a lake party and kicked it off immediately, later on they got into your typical high school trouble. Drugs, booze, fights but Niko; he had the side effect of his family to deal with. His parents were basically MIA. They have been the past couple years, so Niko's been raised by his two brothers Rian and Andre. Rian was the leader of the gang, Lobos. Meaning wolves, Andre was the tall fellow who defended Rose in the spirit of the frisky moon-howlers initiated the cat call. Rian and I have gotten to know each other well, Andre is very sweet too. Hunter hates being around them due to the whole criminal fighting persona. I find it extremely hard to get out of the house now that my strict mother has returned. Though she is due for more international business affairs in the near future.

Life has been tough around these streets, and things are only getting worst. My biggest concern is why Mr. Zekes is being held in custody.
