"What the fuck dude!" Richie yelled as the baritone was snatched from his hands. He was horribly trying to play the instrument he took from one of the band members in the parade, as they fought for the instrument.

Avery looked over and noticed this, causing her to giggle. He walked back over, standing next to Avery, as Eddie came back with three ice cream cones.

Richie put his arm around the small girls shoulders, standing multiple inches taller than her. Richie was 5'6 while she was only 5'00.

"What are you guys talking about?" Eddie asked as he handed an ice cream cone to Richie and diamond.

"What they always talk about," Richie sighed as everyone ignored him. Richie and Diamond were the only ones in the group who haven't experienced the clown and thought their friends were completely and utterly ridiculous.

"I actually think it will end," Ben proceeded. "For a little while at least."

"What do you mean?" Mike asked as they all stared at Ben, intrigued.

"So I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events," Ben exclaimed. "The ironworks explosion in 1908, The Bradley gang in 35, and the blackspot in 62, and now kids being- I realized this stuff seems to happen every-"

"27 years," Ben and Bill said in sync.

"Okay so let me get this straight. It comes out every 27 years from wherever to eat kids for like a year? And then what, it goes back into hibernation?" Eddie asked as they all sat in front of a Paul Bunyan statue.

"Maybe its like, uh, what do you call it? Cicadas, the bugs that come out every 17 years," Stan stated.

"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that all the bad things that happen in this town is because of one thing. An evil thing that feeds off the people of Derry," Mike stated as Avery shivered in the memory of the clown killing Richie.

"But it can't be one thing," Stan started. "We all saw something different."

"Maybe it knows what scares us most and that's what we see," Mike suggested as Avery fiddled with her fingers.

"I- I-I saw a leper. He was like a walking infection." Eddie spoke up, shivering in fear, reminiscing the moment. Diamond looked into his eyes and grabbed his hand, hoping to prevent a panick attack.
