Shlok read the first entry and smiled.

1st jan

Dear diary,

I hope writing in you is as useful as teacher said.

5th April

Dear diary,

There is a play contest starting in city and all schools are participating. I got nominated by my teacher to play the lead character of a boring english novel. Shlok says I should do it. So, I am doing it but I don't like acting.

8th April

Guess what diary, my hero will be boy,not a girl pretending to be a boy! I hope he smells nice, we have to do a small dance scene.

Shlok wondered smell nice?

10th April

The boy is moron, he keeps trying to tickle me when no one is looking, I hit him on head with my bag. He smells terrible too,not at all like shlok.

15th April

Practising ...

2nd May

We won,even though the stupid moron stepped on my foot accidently during the small dance.

5th May

I went to market with all girls on Sunday like we do to buy anything we want and a friend of moron stopped me and he asked me on date. I told him, I will think about it. All my friends thinks he is really cute.

8th May

Jyo told me its fine if i want to go to date,she said to go and have lunch with him on sunday and if I liked him,I can go to watch the new animated movie with hi next week. I like the idea. Jyo let me borrow one of her shirts too .

Shlok frowned,why didn't jyo discussed this with him or varad before letting astha go on a date.

9th May

He was boring diary.

1st June

Missing Shlok. My hairs are almost shoulder length,I want him to see them.

8th September

Dear diary,

I am back in hostel. I got three new date offers. I accepted them. One of my friend is not talking to me now, I think she likes one of the guys. She should have asked him instead behaving rudely to me.

3rd December

I got cell phone from shlok as my 14th birthday present. He says now we can talk whenever we want (except of course during classes). One of my class fellow told me how to set wallpaper on it. I need to take shlok's picture so I can set it as wallpaper. But he is in states and I am stuck here.

I didn't like any of boys I want on date with,they are nice but none of them make me feel comfortable like my shlok. Diary I have never told anyone but I think I like shlok. You know like in as I would like a boy .Don't tell anyone.

4th December

Diary,one of my teacher is married,she comes wearing mangusutar daily, I have one too,shlok tied it, I don't know how I remember but I do. Everyone says if a guy ties mangulsutar, the girl becomes his wife. Am I shlok's wife? we are not related by blood anyway.

5th December

I like how shlok smell when he hugs me, I feel so safe when he hugs me, no one hugs like him.

7th december

Diary,

My skin is really flawless but my height has stopped growing, shlok is so tall, I need to become tall too!

I am asking ayi to send me pictures of whole family,and one of me with shlok.

1st january

Happy new year to you. I am back in Pune. baba is taking me for horse riding!

Shlok read through the entries after entries of same things,these were the thoughts of a growing girl,maybe if he had kept his distance and not phoned her so much or wrote to her ,she would have moved on. He could understand how to a growing up child,he looked like the ultimate knight in shining armour.
