Daijah's P.O.V.

When I reached the end of the tunnel, I was lost. Not because I was mentally and emotionally messed up at the moment but because I didn't know what to do. I just stood there just trying to take in everything that just happened. I remember when I was running I heard gunshots really close to my door. I stopped, tempted to go back and see what was going on I remembered Karma's words to not stop and keep going forward. So I did just that. Gosh I hope my family is okay. Before I can even go over another thought, the door in front of me slid open and a lady and a man in suits came to me.

"Hello Daijah Dominic Delgatto, I am Agent Smith and this is Agent Rodriguez. We are the people who are going to be protecting you until your father's problem is solved." The lady said. She was at least my height. She looked Moroccan with her jet black hair in a sock bun. The man who I assume is Agent Rodriguez was a nice muscular latino. Also has jet black hair with a nice fade in the back but he had nothing on my Dustin. Oh how I am going to miss him! He doesn't know anything about this but he was with me last night...

Flashback

I was just getting into my room after the major blowout downstairs. I felt so bad that I became numb. Just when I sat on my bed there was a faint knock on my window. I ignored it because I thought it was a tree branch since there is a huge tree by my window. Then there was another knock, I got annoyed I opened my window but soon regretted it. I got hit by a huge pebble.

"Oh damn im so sorry babe" It was dustin who was climbing up my tree. It was so cute cuz he was juggling two roses and a small box.

"Its cool but what are you doing dont you have something B5 related?" I asked while helping him get settled in my room.

"Actually no, so I was hoping I cam spend the night and tomorrow with my beuatiful girlfriend." He said while giving me his dimpled smile. I don't know what I'd do without this boy.

" What you got there, hmmm?" I asked  him playfully. He reached his hands holding the items far away from me, causing us to play a little game and laugh real hard but quietly.

"Babeeee" I whined

"If you stop, then maybe I will show you" he said teasingly. I sighed and just gave up and sat on my bed still looking into his eyes.

"Good, now I brought you some flowers and of course as your man I had to get you a lil' summin summin" He said ending it in his so called 'pimp' voice. I took the flowers and set them on my little desk and when I try to reach for the box he backed up. I made a stank face which made Dustin.

"Close your eyes" He said

"Okay" I said

I closed my eyes and I felt as if Dustin was moving his hand to see of my eyes were really closed. Then I heard him walk behind and I just felt something cold fall on my neck then a ring go on my finger.

"You can open your eyes now" He said with a kiss on my neck. I opened my eyes and I immediately wanted to cry. There was a diamond studded ring on my right hand and when I looked at my neck it was a small, silver chain-like necklace with a 'D+D' on it.

"Babe what is all of the this?" I asked. Now I was facing him with my arms around his neck and his around my waist.

"Well let's start off with the necklace, the 'D+D' stands for "Daijah and Dustin", the ring is actually a promise ring. I did all of this because I don't know why but I feel like something is going to happen at any moment so I just wanted to show you my love."He gave me a slow soft peck on the lips that had me in a real trance. But it was fishy that he had that type of feeling, especially in the state my family is in.
