Now two days after my birthday I was preparing for prom with my friends and attended her prom with the ticket I bought from her, this was a night I planned on just having fun and was going to not care about her at all. So, the boys and I caught a cab and arrived an hour late but it was fine cause we got a table in the back corner. We then got drinks, food and dug in, once we finished eating we owned the dance floor with our super awesome moves and by awesome, I mean horrible with no rhythm or meaning. Well I honestly sucked at dancing but my friends did fine, they were more woke in modern dancing and what not but I think I was wilder and screamed my head off when the time came. Then before the night ended She said Hi as she passed by and of course I said "wasssssupppp" and continued my night, but then as we started running out of time and slow songs played. I looked at her dance with her best friend and she turned and looked at me. Her eyes pried through my thick layer of denial and whatever act I put up and I realized something that night, that she probably thinks of me just as much as I think of her and regardless of what it maybe it's something. I say she ruined stars for me, I say she ruined camping, I say she ruined science, I say she ruined me in general and that's all a lie. She gave me a sense of improvement and something to overcome as a man and person, too have more control of myself and the people around me while ensuring my own happiness before pursuing a relationship. And in the event, she still is apart of my life in upcoming years will be interesting, and you never know what may happen but for now she remains my friend and I want nothing more unless she gives me that honor. It's my senior year and is nearly coming to an end, so for now that "short, confident, girl with beautiful hair" who made me speechless and stunned me without trying is working hard and attempting to make the best of her future and I should take from that and do the same. So, this short story is dedicated to Gayathri and all my friends who helped me recover (Anna, Tai, Hannah, Destiny, Tapu, Tatiana, Princess, Terenuku, Anthony, Kobe, Mrs. Claire, Taape, Amperosa, Francella, Michelle, Valeria, Chris, Torch, Isaiah) and cousins (Tele, Pat, Ponita, and Yanni) who supported my phase of alcohol and getting high and helped me get out of a void that was getting me nowhere.
