It was one am. Sam walked around the bunker, checking for his brother and Cas. They were both in their rooms - Dean still listening to music, and Castiel fast asleep. He put on his jacket and left, driving away in the impala. He knew that what he was about to do had a consequence, but he couldn't just sit around while his brother has turned into the thing they hunt. Sam figured Dean would’ve done the same if the tables were turned.

Just as the sun was rising, Castiel got out of bed and went into the kitchen to start his day off with coffee. Dean hadn't ventured out of his room yet, and he figured Sam was still asleep. The angel sat at the dining table, slowly sipping his coffee. When he finished, he went outside to walk around and get fresh air. He noticed the car was gone, but he dismissed it as Dean probably went out for a ride.

The weather was nice. It wasn’t too hot, and it wasn’t too cold. The flowers were just starting to bloom, catching the attention of honey bees flying around. Only a few clouds were spread out along the pale blue sky.

After about ten minutes of enjoying the outdoors, Castiel returned back inside. He stopped halfway down the stairs when he saw Dean at the table. Immediately, he turned around and ran back up the stairs and outside, searching for the missing car. Dean followed out of curiosity. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"The car. It's missing." Castiel breathed.

Dean looked around. "Where's Sam?" He asked.

"I thought he was still asleep." Castiel answered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well I doubt someone came all the way out here just to take a car. Go see if Sam's anywhere inside." Dean ordered, still looking around.

Castiel nodded and retreated inside, only to return with no sign of Sam.

"Son of a bitch." Dean said under his breath. "He took my damn car."

"I bet he went to go get some food or something. He'll be back, so there's no use getting upset about it, right?" Castiel reasoned.

Dean nodded. The two returned back inside and sat across from each other at the dining table. Dean studied Castiel as the angel looked down at a book.

"What'cha reading?" Dean asked.

"A book." Castiel replied.

"Never would've guessed." Dean rolled his eyes and reached for the book.

"What's it about?" He examined it and squinted at the text. "What language is this?"

"It's Enochian. Give it back." Castiel tried to get the book from Dean, who refused to hand it over. Dean turned away from the table, book still in hand and a smile growing on his face. Cas stood up and walked around to Dean's side, trying to pry the book from Dean's hands.

Dean fell out of his chair, but refused to let Cas win. Castiel stood over Dean, wrestling the book out of his grasp.

Without warning, Dean let go of the book, making Cas stumble backwards and fall on his butt. Dean crawled over to Cas and onto him, pinning his shoulders down. Castiel looked up at Dean, his cheeks hot and breathing getting shaky.

Dean looked into Castiel's eyes, trailing his gaze down to his nose, then to his lips. After a moment of consideration, he leaned down and kissed him slowly, his mouth melding with Castiel's. Castiel gave into the kiss, clutching at Dean's back. Dean’s tongue sliding in between Castiel’s parted lips, exploring the inside of his mouth. Castiel moaned into Dean’s mouth and he brought his hands up to the back of Dean’s head, tangling his fingers in his hair. Dean’s hands were now on either side of Cas, caging him in. Castiel rolled over on top of Dean, not breaking the kiss. Dean sat up, Cas now sitting on his lap, and began to tug Castiel’s coat off. Castiel opened his eyes to see that Dean’s eyes were black, reminding him that he wasn’t entirely Dean.
