Chapter 1

Kara P.O.V.

     "Yes miss Grant, I WANT to be a reporter" I said with a little confidence. "Very well then, you will start next week" miss Grant said. I will finally get a job that might- "KIERA, can you please leave and get prepared for the job?!" Miss Grant said. "Y-yes Miss Grant" I said and finally left the room. "James, guess what?" I said. "What?" James said.
" I got a new job!" I said. "That's great, oh your sister said that"- "I have to go I need to get prepared for the job" I said and left.

*Some time later*

I get a call from Alex. "Alex what's wrong?" I said. "We need you at the D.E.O.!!" Alex said half yelling. I quickly got my suit and flew off. I came launching in but was confused to see balloons with a cake on the table while everyone was here. "What's this? And why is everyone here and fine???" I said still confused. "We heard you got a new job and prepared a little surprise" Alex said and gave me a big hug. "Come on, I was gonna give her a hug" said Winn. "I think we were all thinking that" J'hon said. "I think I can agree with that" said James which kinda surprised me but hey, THIS is a surprise party!!! While all of my friends were giving me a hug I finally get to have some space.

"What kinda job did you get?" my cousin said....wait my cousin is here!?! I gave my cousin a huge hug, which he said, "Kara I can't breathe".   "What are you doing here?" I said, again surprised by all of this. "I came here because James called and said you got a new job. I was kinda hoping you would be a reporter like me" he said. "Well I guess we are similar now" I said jokingly. Then my phone buzzed which was weird since I never bring my phone with me when I'm in a battle, guess I forgot??? I looked at the message and I quickly responded. "Any who I need to leave" I said. "What? Why??" He said. "Umm someone needs me and it's very urgent" I said and walked over to my friends and my sister to say goodbye. I then flew off.

Lena P.O.V.
I waited in my office until she finally came. "Umm you needed me?" Kara said. "Yes please sit down" I said. "I heard you got a new job?" I said. "Wow, i guess the gossip went around, but I-I'm not saying that I was keeping secrets from you, I was gonna tell you but I was kinda busy with some stuff b-but it's not like your not worth the time, and you are it's just that I didn't"- I got her off guard when I giggled a bit. For some reason she turned a little red which made me a little happy that I can make her blush. She is so gorgeous. Wait, why am I thinking that???

"What I really meant to say was, why did you call me to come???" Kara said.

"Well I needed to say congratulations and I hope you don't say horrible things about m" I was about to finish my sentence until she interrupted me."I promise I won't and if I do, I would hate myself for doing that" she said. Now it was my turn to blush. She had this kind of ability to make me feel at home and not the Luthor kind. "I guess you wouldn't since we are friends right?" I said kinda choking on the {friends} part. But that's what she thinks right?

Kara P.O.V.
Oh god, that kinda hurts. It feels weird to say it but I don't want to be just {friends}. But that's what she thinks right?
