Karthik's pov: "Karthik get your ass of the bed,your mom is calling bro " said Arjun .I groaned hearing his voice,and shooted up from bed as soon as I heard the word mom. Though I am grown up I am still scared of my mom.My mom Aruna is mostly sweet but she can be so scary sometimes. "Pick up your phone dude ,it has been going on for a long time now"Arjun my best friend shouted. I got up from my bed and picked up the phone. "Karthi ,where have you been ,your phone was ringing for a long time " she shouted. " Sorry Ma ,I slept late last night. And I was tired so didn't wake up" I replied. " I knew it , whenever you both catch up you won't even bother sleeping",she knew so well about us. "So listen I actually have a reason calling you in the morning itself ,as you will be leaving for Bangalore later and I won't get a chance to speak with you as you will be busy " said my mom. Shit! I totally forgot my journey to Bangalore.My flight is at 10 so I have 3 hours for packing and to reach airport in this traffic.I have to start getting ready as soon as I finish this call. " What is the reason Ma? " I asked curious as to why she would call this morning. " You know as you are already going to Bangalore ,and you will be there for 3 days , I have set up a date for you on the second day of your stay at Bangalore.And call me when you go to lahari's apartment " ,said my mom so casually,as if setting her son for a Blind date is a normal thing to do. " MOM,Are you serious ? You set up your son for a Blind date ? That too without even asking me first? How could you? What if she is some Creepy old woman who will kidnap me? Or worst.... Arjun who has been listening all this slapped his hand to his forehead. " Oh Shut Up you drama queen! It is not a Blind date I have sent you her photo ,check your phone and I have talked to her and her mother in a function and she is a lovely girl.so give her a chance once" she spoke softly. And I listened to her and thought to give this a shot.I am not against marriage or something ,I just didn't get a chance to think about it.And now that I think about it I think it's time for me to settle down as I am 26 and it's perfect time. So I agreed, " ok Ma " and hung up. I started packing for my trip to Bangalore. And my phone blinked. I opened it and saw that it was a photo my mom sent me.she was fast. I opened it.

What ?? Oh I think it was a photo when they both were in the function. My phone ringed again. I picked up " Karthi !!! Did you see the photo ?? How is she ?? She is beautiful isn't she?? I know right!!" She exclaimed. Oh god this is not good .she is so excited. " Yeah mom! But ..." She didn't let me continue. " I know the photo isn't so clear. I only have that photo with me. I will ask her mom later for her photos. But tell me this how are we both looking in the photo. We are a great pair , aren't we?? " She asked me. " Mom!!! What ?? I thought you are looking her for me?? I mean I don't mind , but!!!!" She stopped me. " Oh shut up !! What I meant is when you both are married, then we both have to go for so many functions and all. And my daughter in law is so cool. Even she doesn't like those boring functions. And she too watches Korean dramas. We didn't get much time to talk last time . But now we can talk daily once you are married. " She said. " Mom we haven't even met yet. And you are speaking about marriage already ?? What if we don't like each other!! " I asked her. " Trust me . Something tells me that you both are going to be a great pair. And let me warn you , my instincts are always right. Oh I have to go make breakfast for your dad . I will speak with Sunitha and tell you about the details of your date with Bhavana. Okay ? Bye now " she said and hung up. " Mom wait " I started but she already hung up. Hmmm Bhavana I thought. It's a nice name. And I am stuck at that photo. I don't know what happened, but at the thought of my mom and my wife having a good bond together makes my heart flutter. Just the image of them talking and laughing together makes me so happy. And Bhavana seems so pretty and homely i thought watching the photo.Just then Arjun came from my backside and snatched my phone. "Is this the photo of my sister in law. Wow she is pretty , Man !!and Aunty already seemed so close to her " he said. " Give me back my phone Arjun" I asked him. " Wait let me send this photo to my phone" he replied sending the photo to his phone . " What ??? Why do you want this photo ??? " I shouted. " Ohhhh !! Jealous already. Cool man. I am just going to show it to Harini. I am happy with my girlfriend man " he said. Oh no if harini sees this photo, then she is going to eat my head until I introduce them both. " Harini baby ! Have you seen the photo I sent you ?? She is the girl Karthik is going to meet." He was already on the phone with his girlfriend Harini. He is so whipped. But I don't mind, he is happy with her. And Harini is a good girl. She bought happiness in my bestfriend's life. I just hope even I can be the same with my girl. And completed packing for my trip.
