Lahari' s pov:
I came out of the house and started for my office. I should check up with Karthik,I think he should be in Bangalore now. I called him.
" Hi ! This is karthik.i am currently unavailable right now.so please leave your message after beep." ,It said.
Ugh I think he is still on plane. By the time I reached my office and went inside.
" Lahari come fast the meeting will start now and we still didn't arrange the conference room " Sai Sree my friend panicked.
" Don't worry ! We still have time. Did you make the agreement copies for everyone??" I asked her.
" Yeah ! It's almost done. AND Guess what? I have spoken to Abhi just now" said Sai.
" WHAT!! And you are telling me this NOW????You should have said it sooner I missed my chance to listen his voice" I pouted.
" Don't pout baby!! I still didn't get to the good news yet. Do you know that he is coming to Bangalore and he will stay here for one month " she said.
" Really!!! " I exclaimed. But I sighed immediately even though he will be here in Bangalore for one month, what's the use? It's not like he is coming here to meet me right ?
" I know what you are thinking right now. But what am I here for ?? He is my brother right I can set him up for a blind date with you " said Sai.
" Awwww!! That's sweet but you know what! I want him to love me without any compulsion. Let it be ,if we are meant to be then we will definitely meet " I said to her while arranging papers in the conference room. Just then I got a message.
" Hey ! I am in my meeting right now. It will end in half an hour. I will call you then. " Karthik sent a message.
Oh no my meeting hasn't even started yet. Then Karthik has to wait atleast three to four hours for my meeting to finish. I think it's best for him to directly go to the apartment. I sent him a message to go directly to the apartment and my address. I should tell Bannu that Karthik is coming home directly . Or else she will kill me if I don't intimate her priorly . Just then my boss entered the conference room and I quickly shut my phone off.
And concentrated on my meeting.
But I am not able to focus on my meeting. My thoughts drifted off to Abhi. It's been 5 years since I have last seen him. He is my first and only crush. And I still have not gotten over him even though I have zero chance. I have tried to get over this crush but each and every guy I meet I keep comparing them to Abhi. And each time I got disappointed. I felt someone kicking me under table. And looked at the person kicking me that is my friend Sai who is across the table and she is pointing some one and I looked at the person , and noticed that he is my boss. Realisation sinked in to me that I have zoned out in my meeting.
And my boss is furious right now .
I quickly focused my attention back to the presentation.
After the meeting ended I tried to sneak out of the conference room. But stopped once I hear my boss.
" Lahari ! My office NOW !!" He roared. Oh god now I have to bear his lecture for like god knows how much time. Sai came and nudged me from my side," Did you know you were zoned out for like entire meeting. And
Good luck with boss" .
" I know that No need to rub it on my face " I said and went to my boss's cabin and Knocked on it.
" Come in " came a voice. I went inside and wished him. " Good morning Sir"
" Morning miss Lahari. Did you complete checking the file I gave you yesterday ??" He asked me.
" It's almost done Sir " I replied.
" You have to take your job seriously Miss Lahari. Complete that file I gave you and these files within two days " he said. Oh god then how can I spend time with my friend Karthik.
" But sir " I stuttered.
" Do you have anything else to say miss Lahari ? " He questioned.
" No sir " I said . " You may go now " he said. I came out of the cabin while cursing my luck. Now I have to spend my entire time on these stupid files. I went to my cubicle and started working.
