chapter 20

Mandy's POV: My mate Asher walks in and chuckles "you have been looking around I see because I heard the chest slam before I came in" he says. I nod blushing, letting my hair cover my face. He walks over and lifts my head kissing me gently on the forehead. He grabs my hand pulling me to my feet and says "Lets go meet some people in the court yard love." I nod and we walk out of the room down the hall hand in hand. We get in the elevator and head to level one of 23. We walk through the halls I see some rooms that are open and want to peek in but my mate pulls me to his chest and whispers "I'll show you around later okay?" I nod and we walk outside I see my sister rose. I wave very fast with a big smile on my face and she waves back.

Asher beings to speak "Mandi, this is Queen Elizabeth and king Xavier and they are..." He trails off. I whisper "momma? Papa?, you are alive!?". They nod and I run jumping into their waiting arms and hugging them as we all cry. My momma whispers in Spanish "mi hija está en casa en mis brazos!" My papa whispers "welcome home my beautiful daughter." I whisper "I love you momma and papa so much I'm so happy you are alive!" They place me down and my momma wipes my tears off my cheeks and moves my hair out of my face as we smile brightly at each other. Momma looks at me and says "mi dulce niña, I am so happy you are here you must be starving lets go inside and eat." I nod and hold my mommas hand as we walk to the kitchen as Asher talks to rose (who is my adopted sister that will soon be my beta hehe)

Momma and I get to kitchen to see it empty except for a woman who looks so much like my grandmother. The woman's looks up from her coffee and paper and smiles running to me "my granddaughter has returned!" She hugs me tightly and I hug back because she smells exactly the way I remember her roses and honey. "Grandma, you are alive too!?" She nods and we both start crying. She pulls back and looks at me all over "my child you must be starving lets get some pancakes okay? You get the juice and sausage while I'll make the batter and we can cook like old times okay?" "Si grandma like old times." I say, we get started and by we are done we have made enough for everyone who joined us in the room. We place the plates and dish on the table and I say "dig in everyone." They do it and moan at how delicious it is. I look at my grandmother and smile. She winks and mouths "told you." I laugh and begin eating. I get two sausage links and a pancake but only eat one and a half sausage and half a pancake. I sit and wait for everyone else to be done. My stomach rumble I jump up and run to the bathroom throwing everything up even a little blood. I start crying as my head pounds and I grab it sitting on the tile. I also grab my stomach as it hurts so bad. I start sweating feeling more in pain and light headed just as I fall over the door opens to see my brother and his boyfriend at the door looking at me running and I black out.

Asher's POV: I watch Mandi sit there no longer touching her food which is barely gone. I watch her jump up and bolt to somewhere I go to get up but her grandma starts to talk to me so I sit down and talk back worrying about my mate.
Her grandma asks "how long have you known my granddaughter boy?"
"Only about a day and a half ma'am" I respond.
She nods, "do you promise to protect her with your life and staying with her forever?" I nod, "yes ma'm". She laughs "dear call me gram ma'm makes me feel old." I respond "yes ma... Gram" I smile at her and she returns it. My wolf budges in 'go to mate now mate is hurt and sick and with two other males!'  I jump up with Ryder on my heel running to find my mate we go to a bathroom to see a male holding my mate crying, a heart breaking cry. The other male is rubbing his mates (I assume) shoulders. As my mate lies there in a puddle of sweat and a nose bleed. I run in and grab my mate from the male and holding her feeling her body temperature drop and breathing becomes slower.. I scream at them "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY MATE!?"
The one who is crying looks up at me then back down at the floor "she is turning into a vampire/ faire/ werewolf/ witch/ feline/ dragon/ Phoenix/ shape shifter/ angel/ demon..." He mumbles.
I look down at my mate to see her breath becoming more shallow. "Why her, why now." I mumble. "She is royalty ya know and half goddess. So why not her." The mate of the crying mans says. Ryder looks at me and says "we gotta take her to her family". I nod picking her up carefully walking to the dining room with my eyes fixed on her face. I hear a gasp from her mother and father, they run to me.

"What happened!?" They whisper yell at me. The men walk in the one with puffy eyes says 'its happening momma'. She looks at the man and smiles "son you are home from your camping trip" he nods and hugs his mates waist. Her father says "follow me to the hospilte". I walk behind him not taking my eyes off her for more then 2 seconds. We get to the hospilte wing and the king whispers saying "Dr. Marshall needs to come now", the nurse nods and starts to walk down the hall to a room. She points "please lay her highness down". I do as she says and lay her down brushing her hair from her face. "I love you baby girl please don't die keep fighting". I kiss her forehead and sit in the corner as the nurse and doctor works to hook her up to machines and oxygen tanks and IV's. Her father or as he asks Xavier comes and sits with me "she will be okay son she is a fighter I know she is. You should get some rest son, they have to put her in a coma to help the transition go smoothly and not ya know kill her." I nod, "please call for me when I can come sit with her and hold her hand." Xavier nods watching his daughter and the doctors look over her properly. I walk to her room going in and laying in the bed snuggling her pillow watching dismay channel which is still on and drift into a peaceful sleep. I whisper "don't let her die moon goddess please." I fall asleep.
