Find Me

run away

"I'm leaving. You'll never find me where I'm gonna go and if you do find me, I'm NOT coming back. You don't know how you made me feel. I can't stand it anymore. Goodbye forever". The last her aunt and uncle heard from her before they died. Sage didn't know that though cause of course, she ran away. She didn't run far,  she only went to the end of the street which is her family's neighbor's. Sage knew it had been abandoned and decided to inspect it one day where she found it safe enough to live in. That's when she decided to leave her family and go live there on her own. She left her house through the night so she could go back and get some more things she'll need to live. Mostly all her clothes, some blankets, a pillow, bathroom stuff, and her stuffed bear that was given to her from her parents. That might seem like a lot to carry but she had a big duffle bag and she stuffed it as full as she could before leaving with it, then coming back for whatever else she couldn't get in her bag. Food was the one thing she'd knew she would worry about, but she found a way. Which she didn't think she would do. For the first couple weeks she ate breakfast at school. And every night she would eat whatever she managed to bring home from school. Sage was watching her old house and noticed days they went shopping. The next week she tried to sneak over and steal some of the food they brought home and left in the trunk while they brought in what they could carry. She thought she would get caught, but to her surprise she didn't. She ran back with alittle bit of food, just enough for them to not notice they were missing anything. She stole food for a month when all of a sudden for two weeks after that, her aunt and uncle didn't come home. After those weeks she was sitting on the roof out of sight of people and a car pulled in to her old house. She recognised them as her cousin's and their two kids. She didn't think anything of it she thought they were just visiting or maybe moving in with their parents because they were having a hard time living where they were. Then about 10 minutes later a moving truck pulls up and backs into the driveway. Sage watches and knew they were moving in, but still thought her aunt and uncle were there. The next day sage walked by the house with her hood up like she always did so if her aunt or uncle was looking out the window they wouldn't know it was her. She had this strange feeling to take her hood off as if she wouldn't be seen.She kept it on going just in cause.after school as she was walking by her old house they had groceries so she snuck over and took some when she got back to the abandoned house she ate them went for a bath. While bathing she heard a noise that sounded like it came from the second floor. Sage didn't think much of it cause the house was creaky and it was windy that day. She heard more noises and they sounded like footsteps. Sage decided to stay in the bath till the noises stopped when right outside the door she heard a creak she was frozen the door came slowly open as she slowly creeped to the other end of the tub.
