Sage and her parents (Louise and Edward) we driving from their hometown goergia to seattle to go visit her grand-parents. Sage was 5 years old and was taking a nap in the car, they stopped half way for a bathroom break.

"Sage..sage hunny, you need to use the bathroom?"-L.

"Wha"-5 year old sage said sleepily.

"You need to use the bathroom?"-L.

"No mommy I'm good"-S.

"Ok, we'll be right back then hunny ok?"-L

"Ok mommy"-S. Sage was falling asleep again in her car seat while her parents went into the gas station to use the bathroom and get snacks. When they came back out they were looking for something in the trunk when a car loses control and speeds into the rear end of the car spinning it and running over sage's parents. Sage jumps awake and heard people yelling when someone opens the door and starts unbuckling her. They lift her out and she sees her parents both laying on the ground unconscious.

"Mommy? Daddy?"-S.

"Its ok sweetie your safe, do you know of any family you have around"-ST.

" Yeah my aunt and uncle down in Georgia, what happened to my parents?"-S.

"Um... a person lost control of there car"-ST. The stranger held onto sage until the authorities arrived and they found information on sage and her family. They took her and drove back to Georgia with all the things that bad in there car. They arrived at her aunt and uncle's house and the officer knocks on the door. And Todd opens it.

"Oh hello officer how can I help you?"-T.

"I have some news, your niece just lost her parents in a car accident and she's in the car, any chance you can take her in"-P.

"Oh my god that's horrible, Yeah of course we can take her in"-T. What the officer didn't know was that they were mean and hated sage's parents because they got an expensive wedding from Edward and Todd's parents but when todd and Danielle got married they had a small cheap wedding. So the officer brought sage and everything of her and her parents in the house and left, that's when they burned all of her parents stuff and threw all of sages stuff in a had room and shoved her in.

"Dont come out until everything is put away and clean"-T.

"no supper until it's perfect"-D.

So Sage started putting everything away and was wondering what happened to her parents and if she would ever see them again. She would only see them 2 weeks later at their funeral and even then she didn't understand what was going on. Her aunt and uncle started emotionally abusing her that night and after 3 years on her 8th birthday she started getting physically abused. She thought so many times about running away until the day of her 13th birthday, the day she explored the abandoned house, made her plans and left.

How long has she been in that house alone?

Sage made her plans to leave on her 13th birthday and left that night. She stayed there didn't go to school for a week and then started again. She stole anything she could to help her live, then she got the groceries from her aunt and uncle and even broke in the house and stole some money she knew where it was hidden. On the day of her 14th birthday was the day her cousins moved into her old home and changed her way of living, she has to get used to them ordering all the time and she started hunting animals around the abandoned house. Small animals she could easily get and be able to cook herself. 6 months before her 15 birthday was the day Joseph and Archie went to investigate the house and found her. The night Joseph fell in love and the night sage found her a loving family.
