"Good Morning Kara" Winn smiled as Kara passed his desk to get to hers.

"Hey Winn" She said in a sad tone, forcing a smile.

"Hey what's wrong?" he asked her, sliding his rolley chair over to her. He already knew the answer, he just want to hear it from Kara. It was all part of the plan.

"Mon-el stood me up last night." she began, shuffling some paper together. "But I'm not surprised" She smiled sadly. "who want to go on a date with someone who has an eating disorder?" She asked herself more than Winn.

It hurt Winn to see his best friend so upset and hear her talk about her self like that. But he had to keep going with the plan. "Why don't you let me take you out dinner tonight? I wont make you eat much, but you said you were getting better. I wanna see it for myself." He smiled.

Kara was reluctant. She had been lying to Winn for a while now. It was only a matter of time before he asked to see proof. She had to say yes, or he would start getting suspicious. "Fine"

"Yay" Winn cheered. Which was followed with many of his coworkers shushing him. "Sorry" he apologized to the people around him. "I will pick you up at eight, and I promise, I won't flake." She laughed sadly, attempting to humor Winn.

Winn stood up from his seat and walked to the elevator. "Where are you going?" She called as he began walking.

"To make reservations" he smiled as the elevator doors closed. He pressed a few floors at once. The man standing next to him gave him a weird look. "I like watching the buttons ight up" He lied.

The man shook it off, unamused by Winn's child play. The elevator doors opened on the mans floor and he stepped out while Mon-el stepped in. Once the elevator door reclosed, Winn pressed a few more buttons again, giving the two men time to speak to one another.

"She said yes." Winn finally said breaking the silence.

"That's Great" Mon-el congratulated. "Everything is set up and ready. I got it ready during when our date actually was. " he chuckled at the irony of the situation.

Winn stayed quiet. "I hope you understand the only reason I'm helping you is because I want Kara to be happy. I could care less about your happiness." Winn confessed. "The last guy she trusted broke her. And I'm not going to let that happen again. You get three strikes Mon-el. One more," He looked the technician in the eyes, "and your out."

"Winn, I get that you protective of Kara-"

"Protective would be an understatement. I am more family towards her than her own sister is. The night Adam attacked her, I was the one she called to take her to the hospital. " Winn didn't realize he was stepping closer to Mon-el as the two men faced each other. "If I hadn't noticed she stopped eating, I don't think anyone would have." He had now backed Mon-el into a corner. "I am her bestfriend and will always be there for her. So if you ever even think about hurting her again, I will make it my life's mission to hunt you down and hurt you in every way possible. Do you understand me?"

Mon-el nodded as Winn stepped away from him. "But Winn, just so you know," he started "Once I get a hold of Kara, I'm never letting her go. Because it's only once in a great lifetime that you get someone as special as Kara Danvers." Winn couldn't help but shed a smile. "I'm going to be there for her and I'm going to make her feel like there is no one else in the entire world. When she's sad, I'm going to be her shoulder to cry on. When she's happy, I'm going to be the reasons she's laughing. I will never give up on this girl, and I've known that since the moment I laid my eyes on her at that coffee shop." He finally finished

Winn turned to Mon-el once more, placing his hand onto is shoulder. "your a good man." he smiled.

As the doors finally opened to the last stop of the elevator, and Winn began to step out, Mon-els final words were. "And I hope, when Kara doesn't need you as much as she does right now, that you'll take a chance on Imra. She really likes you."
