Sally wore her waitress outfit with pride, passing out drinks and dishing out winnings to the customers. Lots of people were smiling and having fun. Everyone being happy and entertained because of her gave her a wholesome feeling in her soul. It made her really happy.
Beppi was working at the bar, mixing drinks and showing off tricks he could do all the while. He told jokes to the people at the bar and their laughter was payment enough for the former clown. Why didn't he try bartending before!? This is the most fun he's had since the Amuesment Park shut down!
Specter was at the Poker tables. He was dealing out several hands at a time, which he learned how to do with himself being a ghost. With his hands with eyes he was able to surpivise and prevent cheating as best he could. He wasn't having doubts anymore. This was almost as fun as the train! Almost.
King Dice was managing the Casino. He grinned at all the people in his facility. Within popularity like this, it won't be long before he can start collecting both profits and souls. It won't be long before the Inkwell Isles are practically in the palms of his hands again. That's when he caught sight of two familiar and unwelcome faces. He pulled Sally aside.
"Sally, be a darlin and go entertain those two boys over there for me."
King Dice whispered in Sally's ear. Sally glanced over at the door to see nine other than cuphead and Mugman. The last thing she want she is for those two kids to close down the casino. She was just starting to have fun again! Sally nodded and handed King Dice her empty tray and hurried over there. King Dice smirked and placed the tray on the bar. Beppi took it ao he could wash it later. King Dice supervised the bar, keeping a close eye on those two dishes.
"Cuphead! Mugman! Why are you here at the casino?"
Sally greeted them, snideness hidden in the back of her voice. Cuphead and Mugman extanged a look. They both clearly thought she left Inkwell Isles after that whole husband and cheating incident.
"Oh, uh, hey Sally. You work here?"
Cuphead asked her. Sally giggled innocently, playin an innocent waitress role. Mugman was being awfully quiet. Mugman was scanning the bar for faces he knew. He could see Beppi working the bar and the ghost from the train running a few poker tables. Then he saw him.
"Cuphead. It's King Dice."
Mugman whispered to his brother and pointed. Cuphead saw him. Cuphead got out his finger gun, ready to shoot on the spot, but Sally smacked his hand down. Cuphead flinched Andy glared at her. Mugman was just confused.
"Don't you dare shoot him, or Beppi, or Specter! If you're going to get violent, get out!"
Sally screeched, getting attention from everyone. Mugman looked at Cuphead. Cuphead was glaring between Sally and King Dice. He hated King Dice. His stupid theme song and all. He just wanted to beat him to a pulp for everything that prick did to him and his brother!
"Cuphead, let's just go. Everything looks fine and dandy. We don't need to start any fights. Come on, let's just go."
Mugman tried dragging Cuphead out, but he kept his gaze locked on King Dice. That bastard finally gave him a sideways glance. He just waved and went back to whatever he was doing. HOW DARE HE IGNORE CUPHEAD!!!
"YO DICE FACE, HOE DOES IT FEEL BEING THE EVILEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!"
Of someone didn't have their attention on Cuphead and Mugman, they did now. King Dice simply walked over there calmly. He didn't want to risk having a bad repuatation amongst his guests. He was running things differently than the devil. Sally got out her umbrella and was ready to smalcn him one, but King Dice stopped her. He glared at Cuphead.
"Get. Out."
Mugman dragged Cuphead away and booked it out the door. Cuphead never broke eye contact with King Dice until they were completely gone. Once they were gone, Sally started her fussing and complaining about those two. King Dice sighed and looked back to his guests.
"Nothing to see here, y'all. Enjoy your gambles."
King Dice hated playing the pacifist card. But he had to act nice to get on the Isle's good side. Once he was on their good side, the Isles were as good as his. He just prayed those two doors wouldn't get In the way again.
