Numero Private Militias Headquarters
999 Operatives Remaining

Matthew sat in the bedroom of his dormitory, reading battle report after battle report. He had tasked himself with finding a reason why LIF was attacking operatives so frequently. Were they just trying to kill operatives? No, it was something deeper than just that, he thought to himself. He had invited his friends, to include Six, to his room to discuss this.

A knock was heard at the door followed by it opening. Greyson, Benny, Mason, and Six entered, Six closing the door as she was the last person to enter.

The operatives greeted Matthew and exchanged good-mornings before sitting down in the living room area. Matthew explained where the bathroom was, and cautioned not to enter the room marked "196", since that is where his roommate was sleeping still.

Every operative stayed in a small apartment-like dormitory at headquarters, with one other operative of the subsequent or following number, unless that operative was of the opposite sex, in which one would receive a different roommate. Every floor had five rooms, the 24 highest floors having six rooms. Greyson was the anomaly to this set up, in that he did not share a room with anyone.

"Is Numero going to be here?" Mason asked, rubbing his eyes.

"No, it will just be us five." Matthew answered, bringing out his laptop to the table separating his chair from the couch where the commandos sat.

Everyone was fine with this besides Mason who showed visible discontent. "Then why are we here this early Matthew?" Mason asked, annoyed now.

"Because, Numero wants to call a Strategical Staff Meeting today between himself and The Eights to discuss future battle plans, but I think I could do him one better and theorize the purpose of the LIF's frequent attacks."

"The Eights" was the commonly used term to describe the ninth division of Numero, The Public Relations and Diplomacy Operatives. They were called the Eights since their identification started from 800 to 899. These operatives handled all media coverage and held press conference's to discuss the status of the war. Although they slowly devolved into Numero's form of Congress, as the public wanted to hear less and less that Numero was making progress, but that Numero was finishing the war.

"What's that got to do with us?" Mason asked groggily, slouching in his seat.

"Yes, the battle reports detail what happened, but I thought I could get a better read on the behaviors of the LIF from those who fight them everyday. You guys." Matthew said.
