Dimitri woke with a migraine. His head was pounding furiously and the rays of light piercing through the blinds into his eyes were making matters worse.
He struggled to sit up and a groan left his lips. He felt movement beside him and turned swiftly, causing his head to throb even further. Regan. She was stirring already and soon she would be awake.
He watched her quietly as she stretched her body like a cat, her eyes still closed.
Then she opened her eyes and caught him looking at her. She blushed furiously and rolled off the bed. He chuckled and winced immediately after.
"Whats wrong with you? You don't look good" she said. "Hangover. My head's about to burst open" he groaned. "Do you have any paracetamol or panadol?"
He nodded and regretted it. "Its over there" he pointed to a drawer.
She pulled it out and fished through it. "Here. Let me go get you water." she rushed out of the room.
Dimitri fiddled with his hands and watched her as she ran out of the room. She was as red as a tomato and was blushing furiously.
Soon she came back and handed him the cup. He took the pills and set the cup down.
She was looking anywhere but at him. "Regan, are you alright?" he asked, concerned. "Sure. Uhm...excuse me"
She selected some clothes and ran into the bathroom.
Dimitri found the entire situation amusing. She was so beautiful, especially when she blushed.
Minutes later, she scurried out of the bathroom, fully dressed.
"How are you now?" she asked, avoiding eye contact. He tried to stifle his smirk. It would just make her more uncomfortable. "The drug hasn't started functioning yet." he replied. She nodded and moved to the door.
"I would be in the living room if you need me" she said and twisted the knob, pulling the door open. "Regan wait!" he called. She halted, but didn't turn to look at him.
"Why don't you stay?" he asked. She shook her head furiously and Dimitri was distracted by her swirling mass of black hair. Her voice pulled him out of his fantasy.
"There's a programme i want to watch. It has started already."
And before he could say one more word, she had disappeared.

Dimitri's thoughts were confirmed immediately he stepped into the living room half an hour later.
There was no programme on TV. She was lying. The TV wasn't even on to begin with.
It only amused him more.
He sat down beside her on the two-seater couch and she tensed.
She began to squirm in her seat and it was all he could do not to laugh. He could sense her discomfort and embarrassment and he had a feeling he knew exactly why.
"Uhm excuse me....i need to do something inside." She stood and made to move past him but he grabbed her elbow and pulled her onto his laps. She blushed furiously.
He moved her so that she was straddling him and she looked down so she wasn't facing him.
"Are you staring at my crotch princess?"
She blushed again. "Oh no...i--i--God"
He sighed and tilted her chin to face him. "Regan, i meant what i said last night. I know that's what is making you embarrassed, but i had to let it out. I really like you a lot and i mean it."
