Task 8 results!!!!!!!! THE FINALS

You look at Finn expectantly, waiting for the question. Suddenly in the silence a large blue head in a box starts yelling

"The first question. The question that must never be answered. Hidden in plain sight. The question you have been running from all your life!"

Everyone states at the head before a boy in a red neck scarf sighs and mutters something under his breath. His eyes flash Amber and suddenly the lid falls down on the box, closing the head inside.

"Finn? You had a question?" You say, prompting him.

"I know the question." A man in a long coat with his collar turn up and great cheekbones pipes up but a small hobbit quickly distracts him with a shiny ring.

Silence falls again, apart from the silent whispering of the cheekbone man as he stares fixated on the ring.

"I...I..." Finn stutters

Suddenly music strikes up from the corner and a tall Irish man with a quiff beings to sing "I may not have the softest touch, I may not say the words as such, but I'm yours..."

The music dies down as a man in a good shoots a warning arrow that flies just over the mans quiff.

Silence falls again as you watch Finn expectantly. He opens his mouth and you smile, ready for the question before he sighs, dropping his head.

Awkward silence falls again before a girl with curly dark hair pipes up "Anyone for tea?"

"Or coffee" a tall, gorgeous Irish man wearing sunglasses and fingerless gloves puts in.

There is a mutter of approval and a man with bronzey skin and a gorgeous smile adds "I brought sugar cubes!"

"Is there rum? I like rum, rum's good!" A man with a red bandana and dreadlocks asks.

"Oh and food! How about apples?" Two young hobbits put in.

"Apples?! Where?!" Two men ask, spinning round, their hair swishing gorgeously.

"And jammy dodgers!!" A man in a tweed jacket and bow tie exclaims excitedly

Suddenly a small parachute floats down towards you making a quiet 'bing' sound. You grab it, opening it to reveal a piece of paper.

"What does it say?" Finn asks, looking up at you.

Suddenly everyone falls quiet and looks at you.

"It's the final results." Cheekbone man says with a board sigh before the hobbit jumps up and down in front of him, grabbing his attention with the shiny golden ring again.

"What's happening? Legolas lift me up so I can see!" A gruff voice calls from the back of the crowd.

"Come on princess, read to us." One of the men with gorgeous swishy hair says with a smile and you blush slightly, looking down and beginning to read.

"So...

The final results.

You have all worked so hard to be here and have all produced some amazing one shots but now it's time to crown a winner.

Your entry was such a unique idea! We loved the idea of it from the moment we read the opening!

But you know how we knew it was truely brilliant? Even though some characters didn't make it, even though we cried and sobbed so much we kept reading to the end to find out what happened (even if it took Laura a long time to get past part 1...u don't know what u did to her when u paired legolas and Katniss and Katniss came out of that room...I spent ages consoling her...she was distraught...) but we kept reading! And I love how you added us in there at the end! Saving the characters! It was so inventive and so well written! Made me laugh and sob! Brilliant! Loved it!

Throughout the competition you have shone out with such unique ideas, some which have perminately changed the way we see things! We have loved all your works you have been a really pleasure to have in the competition! Thank u and Congratulations! :)

We loved the way you managed to keep characters so well in character even when out of their setting. We loved the way all of it linked together and when Leon was the damsel! So funny! But the bests bit for us was the ending, the way you got all the fandoms in the competition in in such a inventive way! And so funny! To be honest that was what sealed you first place, totally brilliant! Adored it!

Throughout the competition you have always taken a lighter approach to the themes than most, never failing to make us laugh! Which is a hard thing to do in one shots I think. But you managed it every time, keeping great characterisation and wonderful storylines! It's been amazing having you in this competition! Thank you and congratulations! :)

"I love you...will you marry me?" He asks and you grin.

"Of course!" You cry, flying into his arms and kissing him.

Everyone cheers and raises their mugs of tea for you both as you cling to each other lovingly...

Nobody noticing Cheekbone guy has finally got the ring of the hobbit and is bending over it, smiling manically, whispering to it.....
