A Stripper's Epiphany: Three
"A Woman's Worth."All of Honey's tests had came back negative, and she thanked God everyday because of it. She hadn't seen Darion in weeks that night, he could of slept with multiple woman. As much as she wanted to deny it and say Darion was better than that, in reality he was no better than the gum on the bottom of her shoe. It had been two weeks, and her bruising had went away though she was a little sensitive in some areas.
No one had seen Darion, and Sargent Logan was still looking for him. Logan had contacted her farther, who still hadn't come see her but she heard he shed a few tears listening to her story. Even though Zae's father wasn't being as supportive as she thought he would, just knowing that he was worrying about her was enough. She wouldn't defend him for leaving her though. He should of been right next to her in the hospital as soon as he found out, but she had become used to his absence.
Darius continued to let her stay with him, he had even limited the amount of women he had been bringing home. Most nights Honey could sleep without hearing moans and screams, and she was thankful. Even Cherry had visited her, and during those few weeks, they had become much closer. Cherry was the only woman she felt like she could talk to about the situation, and Cherry shared her story of being raped also.
"If you don't get your ass out this funky ass house, you gone smell just like it!" Cherry said as she pulled her red hair from her pony tail.
"It's not that bad in here." Honey replied as she looked around Darius's living room.
After all, it was a mans house. What did she expect? She cleaned to help around but with the dirty ass females that he had come over, it was dirty in less than two days.
The woman he shared his bed with didn't know a thing about clean! They could eat all the leftovers in the fridge at three in the morning but couldn't wash not one damn dish! Honey had respect for Darius, and this was his house, so she didn't disrespect his guest.
Cherry had told her multiple times that if Darius let Honey live in his home, he could at least make his hood rats respect Honey's space. Now that they're more than just Darius living there, he had to make Honey feel as comfortable as she could instead of making her settle for a dirty ass house and making her feel like the maid to him and his bitches.
Honey definitely couldn't argue with Cherry on that one..
"It smell like ass and fish in here! You need some fresh air, girl." Cherry said as she pulled Honey up from the couch, "So, I gotta visit my baby's father today. It'll be quick, I'll run in and go and then we can go to the mall."
Cherry was twenty-three with a mouth on her! When Honey met Cherry, she thought she acted so tough so she wouldn't seem vulnerable around the other girls. She was the only white girl and Honey would of thought Cherry would of been intimidated but no. Cherry set the record straight quick, she was mixed and she grew up in the hood. She didn't try to act like something she wasn't. She just picked up on what she heard daily.
"Baby daddy? Where he live at?" Honey asked.
"No more than ten minutes from here. I'll be out in a second, you can just sit in the car if you want. Now, go put on some shoes so we can go!"
Honey had on some jeans, a tank top, and sandals. Her hair was in a high bun and her face was as natural as it could get, she had no one to impress today. Not even herself.
