A Stripper's Epiphany: Four
"Make It Right."

Rell looked at the grey tombstone, surrounded by flowers.

Dream Stith

It read on the tombstone. Dream had been the only girl he ever committed too, the only relationship he had even been in, and she was so close to being the first woman he was ever in love with. Rell wasn't one to cry, the nigga had only shed tears two times in his young life. He couldn't even stop his eyes from watering even though this was almost the hundredth time he had visited Dream.

Rell looked over to his twin, she was almost two years old. Her brown skin resembled her fathers along with her hazel eyes and long nose. Her brown curls and fat face was all her mothers doing. Rell hated to say it, but his baby girl was going to be a heart breaker.

"Mommy." Muse said as her small hand brushed against the picture of Dream. Rell made sure that Muse was very aware that she had a mother. She may not be here physically, but she was watching over them both. Rell kissed her fat cheeks as his mind replayed the last time he had seen Dream.

"I don't know if she's yours, Jarell." Dream said as they both continued to watch Muse sleep.

"Huh," Rell said as the smile dropped from his face, Dream had just given birth to a chunky but healthy baby girl just five days prior.

"I'm not positive that you are her father." Dream said as she looked up from her daughter and towards the light eyes of Jarell. She watched as the brightness left from them and was replaced by darkness.

"What bitch?" Rell couldn't even contain the curse. He wasn't one to disrespect women, but he was praying to the man up above that Dream was just trying to be funny. Cause it was no way in hell she was walking out his house alive if she was telling the truth.

Dream rolled her eyes and sighed, Rell and her had been talking for about a year and a half before she found out she was pregnant with Muse. She wasn't happy about it, she was in no position or environment to give birth to a baby. She had planned to have an abortion the same day she found out, but of course word had got around through her loud ass friends and Rell had threatened to kill her if she even tried.

Dream wanted so desperately to explain to Rell why she wasn't ok with bringing a child into the world, but he wouldn't even let her get a word out when she tried to bring it up. He took her to every doctor appointment and got her comfortable clothes, anything to make her enjoy the pregnancy more. She wasn't even in a relationship with Rell which they were both ok with at first but she didn't want her surprise baby around a broken home filled with different women so Rell even decided to at least try to have a relationship with her.

He moved his baby mother into his home, and it was like every day he woke up to her pregnancy glow he adored her more. He would spend his last to make her happy. Rell never even expected to have a child at his age but being a man without a father, it made him take care of his responsibilities. His daughter had her own room, crib, closet filled with outfits and clothes, and even her own closet filled with toys when Dream had only been three months along. Dream never questioned how Rell made it happen, they weren't the richest nor the poorest but they were struggling for a dollar just like everybody else and somehow, Rell always made her fairytales come true. She was a make up artist, and charged up to fifty dollars a face and she was fired from her job at Sephora once they found out she was pregnant, but
