A War With 2 Hearts

Chapter 3: The war

The very next day, the soldiers marched out onto the field, preparing to put their plan into action. While the soldiers marched, Bon snuck out and hurried to the other kingdom. He managed to get through the gates, and started up towards the room of the princess. Meanwhile, Bella watched upset as the war was about to begin. Her sisters went with her parents and she was alone. She sighed before getting up to change into a dress her mother had set out for her. Bon crept into the hallway and peeked through the slightly open door of the room. He watched as the girl walked over to her dresser and got a satin dress covered in bows. He blushed when she began to undress, but kept watching. The child stripped to her underwear, and put on the outfit. She then went to her mirror and brushed her red hair. This was it, now was the time to snatch her. Bon held his breath as he went in. 

Bella paid no attention to the slight creaking of the door, thinking it was old and kept brushing her hair. She closed her eyes for a couple seconds, and felt someone grab her waist and lift her. She screamed, and kicked the air in a panic. She had thought no one was here, and twisted around to see who had grabbed her. It was a soldier, and it wasn't one of her mother's either, the suit he was wearing was a dark grey, so he must belong to the other kingdom. Bella opened her eyes wide and gasped, surprised that the enemy managed to get through the gates. Her mom should have better security. 

Bon wrapped his arms tightly around the girl, and grabbed a rope he had and tied her hands and ankles together. He began to walk out of the room, slinging the princess over his shoulder. He ran through the gates, and walked onto the field. He stayed out of sight, near the woods, and felt victorious. Well, he did until the child started wriggling and screaming. She shouted and cried, trying to capture attention. A nearby soldier heard her, and turned around. "HEY!! HE'S GOT THE PRINCESS!!" He shouted, and ran towards them. Bon ran, but as he ran, he tripped. He and the princess fell down a long hill and deep into the forest, the soldier's shouts getting farther and farther away. 

It felt like hours before Bon woke up on the ground, the tied up princess a few feet away from him. He couldn't tell were he was, since he had never been so deep in the woods before. He managed to get up and walk around. He couldn't find any exit, and he didn't want to call out for anymore soldiers to find him, so he sat and waited.
