It all started with a simple gym class...-Mack's Point of View-
I sat in science class, bored out of my mind. Today was the start of a new semester, which means that me and my friend, Layla would be starting gym class. I had been dreading this day since the beginning of the school year.
Then Mr. B's (the principal) booming voice came over the loudspeaker, "Welcome back to Pine-Oak Middle School, where we inspire lifelong learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday, January 22nd, 2018, please stand for the pledge." Everyone one stands up like robots, putting their hands over their hearts.
I glance over at Don, who was adjusting his glasses. Then I remembered that he was going to be in my gym class, since we sat by each other in Tech last semester. I felt a deluge of fear wash over my body as I realized what's in store for me.
After the pledge, we sat back down and I started to count the minutes before the harsh reality that every middle schooler has to experience... Gym class...
-Layla's Point of View-
I was in History, dreading gym class. The principal's voice sounded over the P.A, "Welcome back to Pine-Oak Middle School, where we inspire lifelong learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday, January 22nd, 2018, please stand for the pledge.
Everyone stood up, almost in sinc. This is an occasion that happened on every day, but today was different. Today we started gym class.
This was good news to the athletes of the school. However, it was a grim idea for all the nerds in our grade... That included me. Sure, I did gymnastics, but still.
After we sat down, my mind wandered back to the topic of PE. None of my friends were in it except Mack. Mack and I go way back.
We were friends in Kindergarten and were reunited this year, in 7th grade. Pre-Algebra was what tied us back together as one. Yay!!!!!!
AN: Please note that this will get better... Thanks.
