Wallace was sitting alone boredly on a bench, waiting for the start of the exam. He played around with his quirk malleable lightning in between his fingers, but really only using the lightning part of it.
Malleable lightning, half of his quirk is, of course, lightning! Using this he can cover his body in lightning and move at speeds ⅓ the speed of light (97536 km/s), which is only his base speed. Or he can shoot his lighting by simply shooting it off his fingers, or discharging it from a body part. He can also absorb lighting from any electrical source which can have positive or negative effects. The longer he uses his quirk the stronger it gets, the color of his lighting indicates how strong it is, turning blue at the his base and violet when max. The longer he uses it the higher chance he has of burning himself or going into cardiac arrest. Truly a double edged sword.
Wallace accidentally zapped himself a little too hard, making his long hair puff up. He notices and chuckles quietly to himself while flattening it back down again.
A small girl, with a scarf hiding most of her face, notices him messing around. She stares at him rather shamelessly from her seat on a bench rather far to the side of him, scoffing at his childish behavior.
"So your quirk is lightning huh?" She questioned him emotionlessly after teleporting over with her quirk a moment ago.
"Yes it is!" Wallace replied enthusiastically, rather unfazed at her sudden appearance. At once she teleported away again effortlessly to retreat back to her bench and pulling out her phone. The charm attached to the device twirled and danced as Wallace sent a tiny bolt into it, causing her battery life to drastically sink to 10% then fly back up to 100.
The girl runs a hand through the side of her tousled short black hair as she tries to examine watch just happened, turning her phone which way and that. Wallace giggles at her reaction and she quickly pieces it together. With a pouty huff towards him she disappears again.
"Alright fine I'm curious, what can you do? What are the limits? What are the drawbacks?" She questions after materializing beside him once again but with more emotion this time.
"Well, you'll see what I can do I guess. I've never really seen my limits or drawbacks.. Well, if I don't wear these..." he pauses and points to the sunglasses balancing on top of his fluffy hair. "I'll go blind while using my quirk when I'm near full capacity, and anything that can happen when you're struck by lighting is what'll happen if I use my quirk to much." He shrugged. The girl nodded contemplatively then quickly zipped away. Heh just wanted information... Classy. Wallace thinks to himself and sighs, pulling his sunglasses over his eyes, ready for what's to come.
A loud voice projects over all the crowded students mumbling. Erupting out of a wall mounted speaker it announces that there are 2 minutes left until the exam starts. Wallace lets out a sigh as lightning surged across his body. The girl rolled her eyes at this flashy performance. She bent over and did a few stretches to prepare but that was about it.
"The exam will begin in 5..." the announcer started counting, you could almost hear the tension in the atmosphere around the other students."GO!"
As soon as the word was said, Wallace zipped off with an ear piercing bang followed by a large gust of wind causing everyone to lose their balance for a few, but quickly regaining their composure and chasing after him.
Wallace sped around looking for the robots that were explained in the flier. He soon finds a large group of them wandering around, waiting for their demise.
