"Guys I'm hoooooooome!" Desire squeals as she's coming through the door. Aleeza runs to her and hugs her. I walk slowly and awkwardly. I would run but it hurts my neck too much. When Desire sees me she's gives me a look that I'm not too sure what means and then hugs me softly. She asks what happened while we are eating dinner. Aleeza is cooking tonight because Dad is at "work". I wish he didn't have to go to the war. Every time he's late we are scared. Scared that he's not going to come back. Ever. I have dreams like that. More like nightmares. I wake up from those nightmares sweating bullets, crying, scared and wanting Dad back. He has always come back. Aleeza comes and checks my neck and does what the doctor told her to do. She kisses me good night. And I go to sleep.

When I wake up, I'm not sweating, not crying, but happy and joyful. Wait a minute! It's Desires birthday! I walk to the kitchen as fast as I can and I put yogurt in a bowl and slowly and carefully walked it to Desires bedroom. By then Aleeza had already gotten juice and brought it up to her bedroom. We found a light wooden cutting board and put the breakfast on it. We left it on her night stand. We waited for her to wake up. When she did, she smiled at the plate and looked into the hallway where we were standing. She got up and hugged us, then went back to her bed to eat.
