Loki's POV:

Watching Thor slowly disappear into a tunnel of all brightest colors imaginable when the bifrost brought him back to Midgard, a single tear of guilt dribbled down my cheek, soon freezing solid on it's way down my chin.

I should have told him. Norns, I should have told him of his own child that I carry within my womb. Alas, I believe it is too late for that now. I shall reveal this secret to my husband once he returns with all four infinity stones. Until then, the fate of two kingdoms rested upon my shoulders, I refuse to disappoint them once more.

"Heimdal, from now onwards, your eyes are my eyes. Do not hesitate to inform me of urgent matters." I said, getting only a curt nod from our loyal Gate keeper in response as I rode back to the royal castle on a snow white stallion. It appears that I have a lot of work in front of me.

Welcoming me at the shining, golden, rune encrusted strair case, was our dear mother, Frigga. The astonishingly beautiful woman wore a melancholy smile on her face, it did her no good that not only has Asgard not accepted mine and Thor's marrige yet, not only is our long forgotten sister Hela back, our father is walking on a dangerously thin line between life and death. She knew his time has come.

"Odin has not much left. Will Thor be back to say goodbye?" She asked as I slowly walked up to her, letting her delicate arms drape around my larger frame and drag me into a warm embrace.

"I gave him a month to collect the stones. Will father last until then?" I could feel the soft touch of her tuscan sun colored silk robes against my skin, her grip around me tightened.

"I fear not, the healers said he has half a year to live. I doubt it, in this state, I fear he might be gone by next week. Odinssleep is the only thing that could aid his health." Those were unfortunate news.

Even Frigga could feel my heart drumming against my flat chest, despite that old fool's wrongdoings, despite the twisted way he treated me, the way he treated mother back in time, I still could not help but feel mournful.

Little one here was not responding to this situation all that well either. Although it only was the embryo's natural response to it's host being pressured by stress and anxiety, I still was concerned for it's health, I could hear our matching pulses. Frigga noticed him or...perhaps her too.

"You never cease to amaze me, love. Loki, darling, how far are you in?" It warmed my heart to see her mood lighten. I looked down at the treasure in my leather clad abdomen, this ray of sunshine was conceived the very night Thor proposed. I had him on his knees only half an hour after I said yes, later giving him the night of his life.

"12 weeks." Another tear rolled down my cheeks, my first offspring that was brought to life with love, not brutality. "It feels amazing, mother. At last, I am with child that was not forced upon me." She nodded knowingly, resting her palm atop her grandchild.

"Congratulations, my son." Her plump, little lips kissed my forehead. I simply had to smile.

"Thank you, mother."

I know this chapter is even shorter than the last one, literally only 575 words. But I thought I would share this cute little moment between Loki and the only parent that treated him well.

It also is a good way to welcome Loki's POV into the story.
