I walked up the stairs to my house and waved to Lydia and her mom, thanking them for the ride home from volleyball practice. As I walked up my front stairs, again, I dropped my key through the deck. Volleyball is too much stuff. I love the sport, but do we really need two

giant bags of equipment! Like seriously, two giant volleyball bags, and a backpack! Too much to carry.

I can't remember the last time I came home from volleyball practice and have successfully gotten my key into the doorknob. All I have to say about that is three words, way too much stuff. Actually, that's four words but whatever u get the point.

So I had to throw all my stuff on the grass again, climb under the deck through all the nasty weeds and bugs, and grab the key. I went under, and finally grabbed it with a nice tight grasp. I had to grab my equipment that was on the grass, unlock the door, and go in.

There she was, standing at the stove cooking my favorite meal, orange chicken and fried rice. My mom is a great chef, but whenever I tell her that she is, she always denies it.

"Hey Hun, how was school and practice?" My mom asked me, while cooking the chicken.

"Eh, it's school, and volleyball practice was good. Coach Tanya wasn't there again, so we just had Coach Linda, who always does absolutely nothing." I replied

"Well, I'm sure if-" and that was all I heard my mom say before I heard my footsteps going up the stairs.

I walked to my room and saw that my "Savannah" name banner fell down, so I put all my stuff on my bed to go fix it. I put it back up, but the wind knocked it down again. I didn't bother to fix it again.

I laid flat on my bed, looking straight at my ceiling. But of course, I couldn't completely see it because if my long, red, banana curl hair. I am sick of it. I need a hair cut badly. Not just badly, very badly. I absolutely hate my hair color. It's red. I am the only one in the 7th grade who has red hair. And bad enough, I have green eyes too! It's a horrible color combination; red hair, green eyes. I have never seen anyone with that hair-eye combination. Why couldn't I just have brown hair and brown eyes like normal people do? Oh well.

As I was staring at the ceiling (and my red hair,) my mom came in.

"Savannah Hun, time for dinner." She told me

"K, be right down." I replied as she shut my door.

I got up, went down the 13 stairs through the kitchen and into the dining room where my orange chicken and friend rice was waiting for me. I quietly said a little prayer in my head, since my mom doesn't believe in any of that. My dad would always do it with me, before he moved back to Scotland with his parents.

I dug into the orange chicken. It was heaven! It's really weird, I don't like a lot of American food but I am mostly American. I love other food, like Italian and French. I love Chinese food, but I am not Chinese. I love Italian food, (especially pizza and pasta) but I am not Italian. I am 50% American, because my mom is 100% American. From my dad, I am 25% Scottish, and 25% Greek. I don't really eat any Greek foods, but if Greek yogurt counts then I love it!

Once I finished my orange chicken and fried rice, I put my plate in the dishwasher and went upstairs to get my backpack. I thudded up the stairs, grabbed my backpack and pencil case, and thudded back down. I went to go to the porch to do my homework. By now, it was already 7:30pm, and I haven't started my homework yet. I have math, English, and science homework. My social studies teacher, Mr. Irwin, is so nice! He tries to give us as little notes as possible, and as little homework as possible. But my science teacher on the other hand, likes to torture us. Her name is Mrs. Foulder. I swear, she is 95 years old. My English teacher, Mrs. Heath had her for science when she was in 7th grade! And she is in her 50s! Scary, right? So she must have been here for at least 35 years. That is way too long for me.

I decided to do my science homework first, since it is the most boring. I wanted to get that out of the way. The packet is all about biotic and abiotic factors. I can remember her screechy voice telling us about the assignment. "Oookk, yoouu neeed to compleeete this packet for tomorroooww." She sounds like a witch. She scares me.

At 8:00pm, I finally finished the packet. I decided to do my math homework next, since I could do my English homework, which was finish reading chapter four of our book in bed.

Math homework took me about five minutes. It was super easy. 7th grade math is supposed to be hard right? Well, it's not. Or maybe it's easy for me, but hard for others. That's probably what it is.

I went in the shower before my mom had a chance, and ended up finishing chapter 4 by 9:00pm. I was really tired, but didn't want to go to bed yet, so I went online to see who tagged me in any of their posts. I was looking at the selfie Lydia and I took on our way from volleyball practice, and that's the last thing I remember seeing before I fell asleep.
