A majority of this story I flipped a coin to decide stuff. I flipped a coin on whether the main character is male, I also flipped a coin on what sex Selkie is. For those who might not like it; eh, it was a fifty-fifty chance, wouldn't make a difference even if they were a straight couple or both girls.
I also read a lot of tales of Selkies and notices how they speak of Selkie Marriage but never what the marriage ritual is, so heads up for later chapters, I made it up. I actually made up a lot of things to fill in gaps of information I couldn't find on Selkies. I kinda feel like J.K Rowling doing this.
The Story will be set into different points of view, although not in the first person, so most should be in Mathias' point of view in the third person, some in Selkie's. Think of it like the Knife of Never Letting Go Series (I recommend reading all the books! (even if the third one sucks (that's my opinion))), but in the Third Person.
If any of it is confusing at first, tell me in this chapter's comment section, and I will fix it to make more sense.
The idea isn't mine. If you guys saw my Pinterest comment then you know that I got the inspiration from. Needless to say, I got it from (who I presume are Tumblr users) howtobandyourmonster and kurara-black-blog. So yeah... their idea but I'm writing a story on it, give them credit for it.

I have the story planned, but school is really distracting. Also, for the third chapter, it's kinda hard for me to picture... I planned the drama for this story and the ending, but the beginning is always the hardest part of a story to me. Yeah... things are confusing at the moment, so the first person to respond to this update; calm or nicely buzz off?
