HOSEOK was in the middle of brushing his teeth when the TV cut on with a message from Corliss. Last night his dreams had been plagued with Isaac killing Jason, but instead of Jason getting stabbed, it had been Yoongi. The dark haired boy realized when he awoke with tear stained cheeks that this was probably going to be a daily occurrence. The nightmare was the reason why he had woken up ten minutes before the wakeup call.
Corliss was dressed in a black tutu paired with a black bow tied around her right ear where her usual pink bow was. She had a solemn look on her face as she looked up at the camera, swiftly swiping across her cheek to wipe the leftover ice cream off her face.
"Good morning fifteenth class of Sunny Hills. My heart is deeply saddened to announce the deaths of Jason Rivera, who was killed at eleven yesterday morning and Isaac Hanson, who took his own life at ten pm last night, leaving only four hundred ninety-eight students left."
In his shock he accidentally dropped his toothbrush, causing a colorful word to slip from his lips. With a sigh, he sunk down to his knees to retrieve it.
"Three students dead and the game hasn't even started yet. A shame." Soft chuckles left her lips as she leaned back in her desk and smacked the table. "So much despair already... And I've barely done anything! Ah, I knew this was going to be the best class."
Sick... What kind of person laughs at death? Whoever founded this school is so sick... Sitting up, she wiped tears from her eyes and cleared her throat. "My apologies. Anyways, the first game is upon us! I know you all have been dying- Whoops, guess I shouldn't say that..." Hoseok clenched his fists as her snickers filled his quiet room. How could someone be this heartless? "I know you've all been anticipating this, I know I have. So, since today is a special day and we're all pretty restless, I'm making a once in a lifetime exception. You will all be put on half a day schedule, meaning that classes will end at twelve o'clock. You'll still have an hour lunch and then at two zero, zero sharp the game will begin. Ah, Ah," She waved her hand at the camera. "There's no need to thank me."
She moved the game time up... His heart sank to his stomach, his hands unclenching and falling helplessly to his sides. He thought he could at least handle the game if he had all his classes to take his mind off things, but now since she was moving up the time he didn't think he would be able to now. He swallowed harshly, eyes trained on the ground as his heart rate started to increase. Everything is happening way too fast... And to think three days ago his life was completely normal. If he only he could go back.
She leaned closer to the camera. "This is where the true fun begins!" She went into another fit of giggles, wrapping her hooves around her stomach.
Finally having enough, Hoseok stood to his feet and grabbed the remote, clicking the power button without a second thought. He stood there surprised a second later when the TV returned to it's black screen. I didn't think that would work... Suddenly remembering the toothbrush and toothpaste in his mouth, the sixteen year old hurriedly snatched the object off the ground and headed into the bathroom that was connected to his dorm room and spit the toothpaste into the sink.
