Where was Kayla? What if they are killing her because of escaping!

I passed back and forth in the room for a while until I couldn’t take it anymore, If she really was hurt or dying than I needed to go and help her.

I walked onto the balcony again and swung my legs over the railing; I fell and landed on my back. I felt the wind knock out of me “I’m so stupid.” I mumble to myself as I got off the ground.

I walk towards the windows and peeped through to see if Kayla was in any of the rooms. Nope noun.

I sighed and sat on the ground; I looked around and noticed a dirty window by the back entrance. I got up and carefully walked past all the windows until I got to where I needed to go.

I looked through the dirty window and saw hospital beds? Why would vampires need hospitals?

I shook the thought away and walked through the back entrance that was unlocked. I heard footsteps coming down the marble hallway floor; I looked around for a hiding spot “Shoot!” I whispered to myself.

I went up the closest staircase and saw a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling reflected light off of the crystals at the top. There was red carpeting; similar to the kind in the room I was trapped in.

I looked up to see a picture with Mason and his family; I read the writing at the bottom of the picture.

 It read, Morgan Evermark, Tyler Evermark, Hunter Evermark, and Mason Evermark, King Jackson, and Queen Olivia.  I stared at the picture and saw two unfamiliar faces; I knew Jackson and Olivia were my dad’s friends because they always came over for are dinner parties, I met Morgan and Mason at my party, and I have never met Hunter or Tyler.

It also said they had a bodyguard named Decker; I turned and looked for a door that was unlocked. When I found one I slipped inside and turned to see Mason sitting on the bed in the room, how did I come back here? I couldn’t believe I came back to the exact same room I left.

He wasn’t smiling at me; he was glaring at me with his hands in his lap. I coughed awkwardly “I just… um,” I tried to say but I was pinned to the wall, his face inches from mine.

His hands had me against the wall “You will never try to leave again!” he yelled directly at me, I let a cry of pain escape my lips.

He let go and went out the door, I looked at the door when I heard the lock turn. I moaned “I HATE IT HERE!” I screamed on the top of my lungs.

I flung myself on the bed and cried until I fell asleep.

I dreamed I was at home in my bed with my dog Sydney; I was singing quietly to myself. But when I opened my eyes I was back at this stupid place with nothing to do but lay on the bed.

-Kayla’s POV-

Someone was pushing on my chest with their hands, I felt lips connect with mine and blow air in. I sat up and kept the sheet blocking myself, I remember feeling all the venom from what had bitten my foot.

I looked down at my foot that was bandaged “I thought you were dead!” I heard a hysterical voice say next to me.

I turned my head to see Lance crying! I never see guys cry, and Lance is a strong guy. I didn’t know what to do so I patted his shoulder “But, I’m not dead.” I said trying to make him calm down.

He looked at me “ I know,” he said staring at the ground.

I thought for a minute “Why would you be that upset if I died?” I asked slightly confused.

He looked at me “Because I’m your,” he didn’t finish because I interrupted “Are you going to say sole mate?” I asked.

He nodded his head, I stared at him in shock “I need to tell Alexis I’m ok.” I said standing up, I fell but was caught by Lance.

He looked at me “Your foot needs to heal, so you have to stay in bed.” He said to me sternly.

I rolled my eyes “Can you just bring me to the room she’s in?” I asked bating my eyelashes.

He sighed “Fine. You win,” He said carrying me out the door “But you can’t expect me to do what you ask all the time.” He added with a small smile on his lips.

I can’t believe how cute he is! I can’t help but smile when I look at him, Lance catches me staring and I quickly look away.

I can tell I’m blushing, When we get to the room he opens the door and is hit with a pillow “Why did you do that?” he asked Alexis who is crying her eyes out.

I start reaching out towards Alexis who is already trying to get me away from Lance. I couldn’t just watch so I break the tension,

 “Alexis, This is Lance… He is my sole mate.”

Like i said on the first page of this book, its the sequal and the other charecters from the other book will come togather soon. Thats why i showed the family portraite... because Tyler and Hunter are in it! And Decker is a body gaurd for them, So they will come soon enough!
