I didn't think I would walk into last friday night being blasted through the speakers. Shamefully, like Judas did Jesus my own hips betrayed me swaying along to the rhythm of the music while I maintained a frown trying to appear displeased when my insides were actually bubbling in excitement.
My gaze wandered curiously across the room like a spy, taking note of every detail but careful not to be caught looking. Bethany was busy chatting with some girls I have never seen before which served as the perfect opportunity for me to slip away, without much thought I began to crawl my way out of her presence in a creepy spider walk without she noticing. No idea why I felt the need to be far from her but I wanted to explore the place on my own, after today I don't think I'd be getting any more party invites.
In the process of carrying out my escape mission, something hard hit me from behind forcing me to turn my head, my gaze was instantly met with a pair of angry monstrous blue eyes. The boy who could be said to be twice my height made me appear like an ant next to him, as he stared down at me like I was filth and parted his lips.
"You've got these huge granny glasses sitting on your tiny face yet you can't watch where you're going." He said eyeing me from head to toe with a scowl.
"Who even let you in? You don't look like you belong here."
"W-w-w-hat do yo-u m-ean." I stuttered.
Turning to the side he brought a hand to his curly brown hair and ruffled it a bit like it itched and I couldn't help but note that he had a pretty sideview, but it still doesn't excuse the fact that he's a rude little piece of chicken.
Done serving face his attention was soon returned to me, "who wears glasses to a party?" He questioned with a look of disbelief.
"What if I can't see?" I defended, Beth tried so many times to get me to take off my glasses but I refused, there's no telling what a bunch of horny drunk teenagers would do if triggered and I need to be ready to take off in case of an emergency.
"Quit lying, I've seen you barefaced a lot of times in school, nerd."
My ears perked at that word, "what did you just chicken call me?" I could practically feel the steams rolling out of my ears.
"Chicken?" He blinked back confused.
I was about to speak when someone came between us,"there you are Nick," said the red head in an excited tone with her back turned on me. "I've been searching all over, where have you been, the game's about to start now but we're missing one person."
Suddenly she turned to me, "is this your friend?" Her eyes swept me over, "never seen her before but it doesn't matter." She casually dismissed without giving Nick a chance to reply, I could see his face covered in a frown from the side.
"Now I'm gonna need you both to come with me." Said red head taking the lead as she grabbed my arm along with Nick's pulling us with her.
