chapter 3-Let's keep it between us

It's been about a week since Nathanial asked me out. Since then he keeps on giving me side glances in our classes.

"Katie!Did you hear anything I just said?"Grace shouted at me causing a few people in the cafeteria to look our way. I blushed furiously.

"No. Sorry." I whispered still blushing.

"I asked you why you didnt say yes to Nathanial." she pressed.

"Like I told him, I'm just not looking for a relationship right now." I lied. The reason was because my dad is holding me back.

"Is your father hurting you in some ways?" Cloe asked horrified. Oops, I said that out loud didnt I?

"No. He's just being an overly protected dad." I reassured her. She didnt look convinced.

A few minutes before the bell ring for lunch to end, they all picked up their trays while Nathanial stood up from his seat over on the other side of the cafeteria and walked towards me. While I silently prayed he wasnt going to sit by me, which failed as he sat across from me.

I've been pondering if I should say yes to his question but try and keep it hidden from my dad. If he finds out we'll both be dead meat. I Felt like I should just say yes cause it feels like that's what I'm supposed to do.

"Sure." I said. He looked confused.

"I meant sure to your question." his face suddenly lit up like a christmas tree. He got up out of his chair and went to my side and pulled me into a bear hug and twirled me around.

"Thank you thank you thank you!You dont know how much that means to me." I think I do. We talked for a bit til the bell rang. We both heade our own ways to our class. The whole way to class I daydreamed what the date would be like til a thought struck me: we have to keep it a secret. If my dad finds out we both would be dead. And if anyone from school finds out his reputation will be ruined and it will be my fault for saying yes in the first place. I stopped and turned around and found Nathanial just standing there smiling more like grinning.

Nathanial's POV(surprise!!)

I couldn't believe it. She finally said yes! I've been smiling like a fool ever since she said yes. She's so beautiful even though I've never even seen her face yet. She's all mine. She's the perfect mate anyone could ever ask for. Yes I'm a werewolf but I prefere to be called shape shifter.

Speaking of Katie, she just suddenly turned around and headed back in my direction. I didn't even realize I was just standing in the middle of the empty hallway just smiling away.

She stopped infront of me and said, "I need to tell you something. Let's keep it between us. Our date I mean. Or we can cancel the date. If anyone found out you went out with me, your reputation will be ruined. And it will be my fault for even saying yes." is she seriously doubting herself right now?

"No. We are NOT canceling our date. And plus this won't ruin my reputation. But yeah sure let's keep it between us." I ranted. She nodded and walked away. While thinking about how beautiful she was I saw my beta, John, and his sister Cloe make their way over to me(A/n: he is the alpha of the pack).

"What was that about?" Cloe asked. She always breaks the rules but I can't hurt her cause she's my best buddy and beta's sister and she knows it so she rubs it in my face every time.

"She finally said yes." I said smiling again. She squealed and jumped up and down.

After she calmed down I told them my plan for the date then we sent it to all other male wolves to help through the mind link. I just hope she likes it.

Ooooh wat does he have in mind? Sorry I haven't updated in a while. It was hard for me to think of something to write. Oh and Plz read my other book 'Stole My Heart' I fixing to update a new chapter soon.
