"You are not the only one. you are not the only one," I softly sang to myself as I fixed a book on the bookshelf.

"Hey pretty," krissy said popping up out of no where.

"Damn you scared the heck outta me."

krissy laughed.

"What's so funny?"

"you. 'you scared the heck outta me'" she said mocking me and walking to the back area.

"and why are you late again?"

"I over slept big deal,"

"yes it's a big deal I can't keep covering for you," I whispered as she put on her work shirt.

"listen we work at a library nobody is here so I'm not missing anything."

she smiled and brushed pass me to get to the front desk. I quickly followed her because she was gonna hear what I had to say.

"but you have responsibilities Krissy. and when the boss comes and ask where you are it puts me in a very awkward situations. and you no I cannot lie to save my life," I whined.

"We are best friends we are suppose to do stuff like this. You remember Sean?" She asked.

I quickly looked up at her with out saying a word. My jaw clenched and I turned and walked away. She knows how I get when she brings him up. She quickly followed me.

"Of course I remember him," I said angrily while walking.

"And you remember when I told you that night that I would do anything for you to see those tears go away? Slash his tires, burn his clothes, fuck him and his new girl up."

"Ok I get it," I said storming away.

Krissy roughly turned me around to face her and said "you really need to get over this nigga. You may not see it but his ass is controlling you. All it takes is for someone to say 'Sean' and your whole mood changes weather they were talking about that Sean or not. It's almost been a year since y'all broke it off. This nigga has moved on, got a new bitch and everything. And you live everyday as if y'all just broke up yesterday. I'm not saying fuck every nigga you come across, just get out there again. You are smart, nice, and beautiful any man would kill to just introduce them self to you. You feel me?"

I slightly smiled. "Yeah, I feel you."

"But one more thing."

"What?"

"Don't trust these hoes," she said any then walked away.

The rest of the day was pretty slow. It was a Wednesday, nobody goes to the library on Wednesdays. Hours flew by and it wasn't long before it was closing time. Everyone has gone home and I was left filling out some last minute paper work. After that I got on the ladder to stack the new children's book that came in last week.

"You're the worst, you know what you've done to me," I sang softy as I was coming down the ladder.

"You have a nice voice," someone said startling me. I was so caught off guard somehow I ended up the floor.

"Oh I'm so sorry," the guy said dropping the box he was holding and tried to help me up.

"No no no I'm fine you've done enough," I said moving him from off of me and getting up my self.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes I'm fine I just didn't hear you-"

I looked up at him and couldn't even finish my sentence. This was the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. He was about 6'2 or taller, muscular not too much but just enough, and his beautiful dark brown skin. He noticed me starring and him and smiled.

"Why are you here?" I asked snapping back into reality.

"Uhmmm, UPS"

I looked down at his uniform and laughed. Of course I was so focused on his everything else I didn't even notice.

"Of course you are," I said laughing to myself.

"So what's your name pretty lady?" He asked smiling.

"Stop being nosey, now where do I sign for this package?" I asked.

He laughed and hand me a clipboard. "Playing hard to get huh?"

"Oh I'm not playing honey," I said handing him the clipboard back.

"Well, it was nice meeting you again uhmm," he paused and looked at the clipboard "Jhené. Hopefully I'll see you sometime soon."

"Only in your dreams," I said without looking back as I opened the box.

"Yeah I'll be counting on that," he said before be left.

I turned around when I heard the door close and smiled. He was cute.
