Confession - Jeongchan

It was 2 in the morning when Jeongin woke up from a nightmare. He walked around the dorm looking for something to get his mind off of it when he heard something coming from the studio, he looked toward it wide eyed. He walked towards the door and opened it, he saw Chan fast at work on his computer. Jeongin knew how hard this dubuet was on him as he walked in and closed the door, Chan was so lost in his work he didn't even notice. Jeongin walked up to him and put his hand on his shoulder making Chan jump and turn around.

"What are you doing in here you're supposed to be asleep." Chan said in a groggy voice

"I couldn't sleep, what are you doing, hyung?" Jeongin asked looking at him in the eye, knowing exactly what he was doing,but still asking just to hear it from him.

"Working on the new songs" Chan said looking at the computer screen

"Hyung, you should really get some sleep, it's 2 in the morning." Jeongin said, a little concerned for his hyung.

"Jeonginnie I really need to work on these, i can't sleep now." Chan said looking back up at him. Jeongin sighed as he looked back at him. He walked over and closed the computer screen "Come on Channie hyung, lets go get some sleep." Jeongin said reaching his hand out for Chan to take.

Chan looked up from his computer and back to Jeongin multiple times before deciding to go and get some sleep. Jeongin smiled at him as he turned around and headed off to his room. When they got there Chan closed the door and was headed to his bed when he heard Jeongin's soft voice speaking to him.

"Channie hyung can you sleep with me tonight?" Jeongin asked with a pink tint to his cheeks. Chan stopped and turned around with a soft smile on his face, he went under his covers with him.

"What's wrong?" Chan asked seeing Jeongin hiding his face with the covers only letting his eye peek out.

"Nothing, good night hyung." Jeongin said as he tried to quickly turn around, but got stopped by Chan.

"Hey, talk to me Jeonginnie." Chan said in a soft voice, worried about the younger. Jeongin's head peeked out over the covers.

"Really it's nothing hyung." Jeongin said bright red and not looking him in the eye. Chan pushed on knowing he was lying.

"Jeongin, what is it?" Chan asked in a serious tone trying to look him in the eye.

Jeongi sighed "Hyung, I'm nervous about the debut. What if it goes wrong? What if people don't like us? What if they don't like me? What if-" Chan cut him off mid sentence.

"Stop with the what if's. It won't go wrong, people will love us, people love you. I love you" Chan said looking Jeongin in the eyes making him blush.

"I love you too, hyung." Jeongin said as the covers started to come up over his face again. Chan stopped the covers and took his hand in his interlocking their fingers. Jeongin looked at their hands and then to Chan, who had a soft smile on his face and his eyes starting to close as he fell asleep. "I really do love you, hyung. I'll confess one day when you're actually awake and can hear me." Jeongin said when he knew Chan was asleep before drifting off asleep himself.

What he didn't know was Chan could hear everything Jeongin said, but it would have to be another day that he told him he felt the same.

It was a week after that night and the 2 haven't talked about it since. They started practicing the dance for their upcoming debut and Jeongin was a little behind, but he was keeping up. Chan was still trying to work out the songs to see if anything is wrong, which nothing was. The 2 avoided each other as much as they could, not wanting to make anything awkward between them, but it made it worse, the others were starting to notice.

"Hey, Jeongin come here." Seungmin said from his room, Jeongin walked in and saw him, Felix, and Jisung all sitting around looking up at him.

"Yes, hyungs?" Jeongin asked, a bit concerned of what he was doing wrong for all of them to want to talk to him.

"Sit." Seungmin said pointing to the computer chair, Jeongin did as he was told and looked back at the 3 boys waiting for 1 of them to talk.

"What's going on with you and Chan hyung?"Jisung asked

"I don't know, we just haven't talked for a week." Jeongin answered just as confused as the rest

"Did you confess?" Felix asked

"He wasn't awake." Jeongin said as he became a bright red

"So you don't think he heard you?" Seungmin asked as Jeongin nodded "What if he did?" He asked

"If he did then he might feel the same and that's why we haven't talked in a week." Jeongin said as he shrugged his shoulders becoming sad at the thought, but not letting it show.

"Don't say that, of course he likes y-" But he was cut of by Chan's screaming

Back in Chan's room

"Hey hyung, can we talk to you for a second?" Minho asked standing by the door way with Changbin, Hyunjin, and Woojin.

"Yeah sure, what's up?" Chan asked gesturing for them to come in

"It's just that you and Jeongin seem a bit off lately." Changbin said sitting on the opposite bed as Chan. Chan didn't say anything making Changbin go on further "Did you confess?" At this a small smile appeared on Chan's lips.

"No, I didn't. He did, he just didn't think I could hear him and I planned on doing something to tell him I like him back, I just don't know what." Chan said looking at the other 4 in the room.

"What do you mean he thought you didn't you hear? You clearly did." Minho asked, another small smile appearing on Chan's lips.

"He was having trouble falling asleep and asked me to sleep with him, I did and we talked until I fell asleep, I heard him confess right before I did tho." Chan said recalling the memory

"Why didn't you tell him then or the day after?" Woojin asked

"It wasn't the right time and I want it to be special, he deserves everything and I want to show him that with my confession." Chan told the truth

"Ok, but this entire time you were thinking of a confession, did you put to how Jeongin might have felt? You stopped talking to for a week and Jeongin may think it's because of what he said, that maybe you don't like him back or that you might be disgusted by him." Minho said trying to make him think, Chan's eyes went wide and he went out of the room yelling.

"JEONGIN I LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH AND DON'T YOU EVER THINK OTHERWISE!" Chan yelled, Jeongin walked out of the room wide eyed and a small smile on his face.

"I love you too!" Jeongin yelled back, but not as loud. Chan walked closer to him almost to where their noses were touching.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" Chan asked in a low voice for only him to hear, Jeongin had the biggest smile on face as he nodded meaning yes.

"Yes of course, hyung." He said as he wrapped his arms around Chan.

A few 'finally' and 'aww' were heard from the members making Jeongin put his head in the crock of Chan's neck, to try and hide from the members. Chan kissed the top of his head and told the others members to go back into the rooms. Jeongin picked his head up to look at the other and they both had the biggest smiles on their faces.

They were finally together, finally a couple even if it was a secret from the world, they knew and that's what mattered.
