I know what you're all gonna say, if anyone actually comments on this, "They are way to young to get married!" and I agree!! They are just engaged and plan to stay that way for a while, for multiple reasons! 1 is that they agree they are too young for marriage, they just want to know that if they get separated after school because of them trying to peruse the jobs they want to get a steady life stile going, that they will still belong to one another. So basically the rings are engagement ring, but are a source or reassurance as well as to show the fact they plan to get married. Another reason is that they want to have a steady salary, both of them, and a house that they own and can live in comfortably, with room to grow their family as well! I would have put this all in the chapter but I feel like it wouldn't really fit into the whole feel of the story, so you get to read my long as rant down here that proves how deep I am into this au that I have had brewing since I ready my first HP Insta fic....sooooo...yeah!
