I woke up and checked the time my phone, lying lifelessy on the night stand to the right of my bed. 6:04am. I walked to my closet to take out a pair of clothes, and a towel to take a quick shower. I'm not a morning person. Even though school starts at 8, I wanted to leave early so I can sit at my favorite place, the playground where my mom and dad took me when i was younger.

I finished getting ready, grabbed my backpack, and headed towards the front door. I checked the time on my phone again. The time 6:27. I checked it again to make sure I read the time right. Everyone else in the house was still sound asleep....lucky for me. The last thing I wanted was to be reminded of how worthless or stupid I was by some of the biggest dicks I know.

I stopped walking when I saw pieces of papers flying by, followed by a girl. She had black hair and dark brown eyes. I recognized her from school.

"Hey Can you help me get those?" she yelled as she ran passed me. The papers landed in the middle of the street. As she was picking them up I noticed a large truck. It was coming closer and closer and didn't seem to be stopping.

I ran and grabbed her waist to save her, kind of like something you'd see in a cliché romance movie. The truck passed in front of us running over the papers that were left on the street. I stood up with her still in my arms. My hair started falling into place, styling itslef, I felt a stray piece hanging down on my forehead. Like Superman's hair did in the movies.

She looked shocked and her mouth was slightly open.

"Careful, you might catch a fly." I said.

She looked up at me. Our faces almost touching. I remembered I had my arm around her waist. I let go and smiled shyly. The pieces of paper were still laying on the ground so I ran to pick them up and handed them to her. She stood in front of me not saying a word.

"Well I should...probably go," I said awkwardly. I was about to leave when I heard her say something. "Sorry?" I asked.

"I said, thanks. For saving me." she looked down at the papers. "Great now they have tire marks on them....Oh, by the way, my name's Sam."

"I'm Steven," I introduced myself. I felt a burning feeling coming from my arm I looked down and saw a small cut, it was bleeding. I was wearing a navy blue long sleeve, black jeans, and vans. I pulled my sleeve down so the cut wasn't noticeable.

"It was nice meeting you. See you around, Sam," I continued walking. I took a shortcut by an alley thet lead directly to the school, Rosewood High.

The bell rang informing us 4th period was over.

"Class the bell does not dismiss you, I do. So, sit down in your seats until i tell you it's okay to leave," Ms. Bass yelled, she was my math teacher. Everyone groaned and sat back down. " You may leave."

It was time for lunch, so everybody was getting food or sitting down with their groups. Everybody has their own social order here. The 'popular people' and sports players, the kids who never talk to anybody, the smart kids, the potheads, bookworms, and the goths. Then there's me. I'm that really crappy kid, nobody likes. I get beat up time to time, I have no friends, nobody likes me, and that concludes why I don't belong in any group whatsoever. I sit where nobody bothers me, or even bothers to go. The Bathroom Stall. I'm the outcast with mental problems.

After I got my lunch I went to bathroom. It's where i could be alone...well, almost alone. I know it isn't the best place to eat lunch but, I got used to it.

Last hour is my worst hour, because Ian makes it a living hell for me. I sit in the back of the class, next to the door, so I have a chance to get out of there before anybody else. If I don't, I'm Ians personal punching bag.

*RING*

As i was walking out of my last hour i felt someone pull me. It was Ian and his group of friends. Great.

"Oh, look it's Steven," he spat pushing me against the wall.

"Where'd ya go this morning? Didn't care to spend some quality time with your family?"

Ian hated me for some reason, I couldn't figure out why I never talked to him. He had his forearm on my neck made it hard for me to breathe. i felt a pain come from my stomach and my side.

"What is going on here?" I heard a voice yell. Ian moved away and I fell to the floor breathing in the air. I looked up and saw Ian and his friend were with Mr. Tyler, the chemistry teacher.

"Nothing," Ian answered innocently. I took this chance to leave.

I started running as fast as I could. I heard Ian's voice yelling but I kept running. When I finally got to the front door of my house I stopped to catch my breath before walking in. It was quiet which meant Josh, Manny, and Evan weren't home. I threw my backpack on the floor.

I walked into my bathroom and lifted my shirt. There were two large bruises one on my stomach and my side. They looked as painful as the felt. I went to my room to lie down. As I laid on my bed I began to feel drowsy. The pain raced through me, My eyelids felt heavier, I stared up at the ceiling as it slowly became more and more blurry. My eyes fluttered shut and I drifted away into a deep sleep.
