Threats, they're all around us. (y/n)'s threats are her parents well were her parents. Her threats nowadays are everyday thugs that roam the underground.

Over the years, after running away from her parents, (y/n) had practice all sorts of techniques of fighting. To be fair she was quite the expert in hand to hand combat. She was taught by many people in the underground therefor growing a reputation. She was known as Seigin which is Limitation in Japanese.

Today she is going back to where she used to live. The place where she could see the sun shine, birds soar and clouds float. Her home on the over ground her home that was surrounded by walls that protected humanity from its biggest threat, titans, the human like giants that have a thirst for human blood.

(Y/N)'S POV

I haven't been out here in years, it's all the same, the walls to the houses nothing has changed some people may be gone and some may be new but everything else has changed. I must say it's pretty nice day today it'd be a shame if something ruined it.

I walk to where my home was and still is, my parents should still be in there drinking alcohol and other dangerous substances. I walk up the two stairs that lead to the houses front door I stop and think should I really be doing this, is it right to try and make amends with people who made your life a living hell?

I reassure myself I'm doing the right thing, I knock in the door. I hear yelling and things smashing from inside. The door opens to reveal my mother and she lets me in, I sit down at our dining table and get ready to do some talking. " (Y/N)! You've come back to us, I'm so glad I've missed you so much" my mother says tears brimming her eyes.

"What about father? Does he miss me?"

At that moment I feel a sharp pain in the side of my neck and the next thing I know I'm getting shoved out the front door of my house and my parents yelling colourful words and phrases, saying that they never wanted me that I was a waste of their time.

I had a hunch they would hurt me but I have no idea what that sharp pain was, I shrug the recent events off and start walking to another place I spent as a child, a small area in an alleyway where I hid a pocket knife I stole. I make it to the alleyway and quickly grab the knife.

I step out the alley way and nearly got knocked off my feat by people running and screaming, I took a guess and look at the wall, the entrance was completely destroyed I looked higher and saw a titan, a massive titan that was taller than a wall. Colossal was the first thing to come to mind.

I started to run away the where they were packing people onto the boats so they could get behind wall Rose, on my way there I spot two children a little bit younger than me trying to get their mother out of some debris from their house. I run over and start to help them, I ignore their protests for me to run and get to safety.

A man from the garrison regiment ran over and started to help us, only to have a titan make their way over to us, the garrison regiment guy was going to kill the titan but he chickened out. He picked up the two kids and yelled at me to run, I said a quick sorry to the kids mother and ran to safety. The man kept running even with the two protesting kids.

I ignored the loud screams, the snap and the crunch and kept my head forward. We made our way to the boat and were put on there, I was still with the two kids and I stayed with them to make sure they were ok. I learnt that their names, the boys name was Eren and the girls name was Mikasa.
