Misunderstanding

Chap 5

Kyle’s POV

So we walked in the coffee shop and went up to the counter to order some coffee. I was paying for everything so I just ordered what Tweek wanted and he went to go find us a seat.

“Yes, I would like one caramel iced latte, and a hazelnut iced coffee with extra cream please. Both large please.” The hazelnut was for Tweek.

“Alright that will be 4 dollars and 53 cents.” I gave the man 5 dollars and he gave me 47 cents back. I waited for the coffee at the end of the counter. Once they were called, I grabbed them and walked towards Tweek.

“Here you go, one large hazelnut iced coffee with extra cream, just what you wanted.” I handed him his coffee before taking a seat across from him.

“T-thank you Kyle!” Tweek was so cute, he started to sip at his coffee.

“So Tweek, why does coffee fascinate you?” I couldn’t think of anything else to say except for that.

“Well, my parents got me hooked on it! First they gave it to me as a child, then I don’t know man! I just started learning more and more about coffee and eventually I had a passion for it!”

“Yeah, I remember when we went to your house and saw those gnomes, crazy days back then. You were always cute to me though.” How cheesy was that!

“S-so Kyle, why me man! I’m nothing special.” Tweek, you are special, to me you are.

“Well that’s just it Tweek. You are special to me. You’re smart, talented, might be a little clumsy, but who isn’t now and again. I’ve had feelings for you for a long time now, and thanks to my friends, they pushed me to ask you out. I am really glad though that you said yes, even if you didn’t want to.” Honesty is the best policy in my book.

“W-what makes you think that I didn’t want to come?” Oh so Tweek is trying to play with me is he?

“Well for one Tweek, the look you had when you said sure, I read you like a book. That look was anxiety and fear. Probably thinking I would do something bad.” Oh now what Tweek.

“But I always look like that!” Oh good combat Tweek.

“True, but you didn’t gasp or gah.” Check and mate.

“Oh you got me! You took me by surprise Kyle! I thought you were going to kill me if I said no!” I’m not that evil Tweek. All I did was laugh a little at his reply.

“Oh Tweek, I would never do that to you, even if you did say no. I couldn’t kill you because I like you.” Come on Tweek, I’m not that heartless.

“That’s true!” Of course Tweek.

Tweek’s POV

GAH! Kyle is smart! I can’t compete with him. Well better get this date going somewhere at least! I should ask Kyle something else.

“So Kyle, what do you like to do for fun!” This should be a good question!

“Well, I like to play the piano sometimes, I do homework a lot, when I have days off from the grocery store, I play video games with Kenny and Stan, and oh! I like to play basketball sometimes.” Wow, he’s so busy!

“What do you do for fun Tweek?” Oh no, I hope he doesn’t laugh at me!

“I like to hang with my friends, I work at the coffee shop sometimes! I like to make different types of coffee, mix flavors and coffee beans, and I like to paint!” I love art a lot!

“Oh so you are an artist eh? Well can you paint me a picture Tweek when you have the chance? And surprise me with the painting please.” Too Much Pressure!

“Okay! I will Kyle!” What will I paint for him?!

“Perfect, now onto music genres, what are some of your favorites?” Oh gosh we are playing 20 questions!

“I like punk rock, rock, classical rock, alternative rock, any rock! But not metal or death metal!! That’s too freaky man!” It’s true! Metal is too loud and annoying for me.

“Heh, you don’t say? Me too Tweek. Name your favorite band.” Kyle is so demanding sometimes!

“Umm, I like LinkinPark, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Tool. I also like Avenged Sevenfold.” Oh gosh what is he going to say next!!

“Amazing Tweek, I love Aveneged Sevenfold and LinkinPark. My favorite song by Avenged Sevenfold is “nightmare.” And by Linkinpark its “What I’ve Done.” Oh Jesus! He is like me with music!!

“I love those songs too Kyle!” I started to see Kyle smile, and I smiled too!

Kyle’s POV

We talked for a long time at the coffee shop. His favorite color is purple, mine is green, his favorite food is meatloaf, mine is a cheeseburger, and we talked about school and the classes we have, the teachers, made a few jokes, and to be honest, this date was going smoothly. Tweek was enjoying himself, I could tell by the smiles he made and the little snort he made when he laughed. I have never heard him do that before. He was everything I ever dreamed of and more. Hopefully he felt the same way for me.

“So Tweek, how do you feel about me now?” Oh this is too much for him to handle.

“W-well Kyle, I have to be honest with you. You are a great guy, you are funny, smart, and we have the same taste in music! But I don’t know if I have a crush on you or not. I do l-like this GAH! other guy and I liked him for quite some time now!” Awww Tweek, you are making me sad.

I looked down at the table, aww he likes someone else, at least he gave me a shot.

“Oh, I understand Tweek. Well, I guess we should end the date, shall we?” I was too depressed to go on. I wanted to lock myself in my room and never come out. The guy I liked didn’t feel that way about me. Tweek looked a little down too though.

“N-no Kyle! I feel bad now! I will go on another date with you!!” Tweek was blushing. Could he really start liking me too?

“Are you sure Tweek, I mean you don’t have to do this.” I was now confused as ever, and that rarely happens.

“Yes! You are a great guy, and I like spending time with you. Maybe you aren’t the boy of my dreams, but you are the friend of my dreams! Don’t be sad Kyle! There is someone who has been crushing on you for a long time!! He is exactly like me and you should give him a try!” What’s this? Someone has a crush on me? But who. Hmm, exactly like Tweek. Craig? Well that makes sense I guess.

“Alright Tweek! I will give him a chance! Thank you Tweek. You are very kind, but can I do something before this date ends?” Just one quick kiss on the lips and then I’ll be in heaven.

“Go ahead!” Excellent Tweek.

I walked up to him and closed in on his face locking lips together, kissing deep. I pulled away after a minute because I didn’t want it to be too long.

“Thanks Tweek. Tomorrow I will ask who you are talking about out and see where it takes me.” Tweek was blushing so hard.

Tomorrow I will ask Craig on a date. Tweek and I said our goodbyes and hugged. He went one direction while I went another. I still can’t get you out of my mind Tweek, but moving on will help me.
